Illinois at South Florida. Line: South Florida by 17.5. Friday, 8:00 p.m.
Lovie Smith has done a good job of making Illinois competitive since taking over that train wreck. South Florida is a bit overrated, and I don't think it should be favored by this many points. Plus, the Bulls could be distracted by what happened with Hurricane Irma.

College Football Pick: Illinois +17.5 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220
SMU at TCU. Line: TCU by 19. Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
This spread is too high, as SMU has an explosive offense. TCU does as well, but the Mustangs should be able to keep pace with the Frogs. At the very least, SMU will have a good chance to score a back-door touchdown.

College Football Pick: SMU +19 -105 (3 Units) -- Incorrect; -$315
Texas at USC. Line: USC by 16.5. Saturday, 8:30 p.m.
USC had a big victory over a Stanford team that isn't as good as people think it is. There's a chance the Trojans overlook the Longhorns. Either way, this is too high of a point spread, as there was too much overreaction to Texas' loss to a very underrated Maryland squad. The Longhorns should be able to keep this game close.
College Football Pick: Texas +16.5 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Fresno State at Washington. Line: Washington by 33. Saturday, 9:30 p.m.
Ever since late last season, I've been harping about how Washington is overrated. I went against the Huskies when they played Rutgers, and I'm going to do that again. Fresno State covered against Alabama, so why can't it stay within the number versus Washington?
College Football Pick: Fresno State +33 (3 Units) -- Correct; +$300
Stanford at San Diego State. Line: Stanford by 9.5. Saturday, 10:30 p.m.
Stanford is perennially overrated, and they were exposed in last week's loss versus Stanford. Now, there might be a letdown, which is big-time trouble against San Diego State because the Aztecs are a very competitive team that could pull this outright upset.
