Came here because someone told me I had to check out the draft grades. Who do I talk to to make a bet that Eagles aren't contending for a super bowl this year or next? Trash site, trash writer.
i wouldn't classify tannehill over kuechly as a good example in your bears explanation, tannehill has been pretty solid, well sometimes. qb is where teams just gotta take chances sometimes, miami should've drafted ryan over long back in the day, they didn't. teams need a qb. besides, all the examples, only the panthers with kuechly have been successful, so it's unlikely picking the "right" player would've helped much. and the panthers had a decent team around em, and a qb already. qb is the one spot where teams just gotta take chances. WITHOUT selling the future, like skins with rgiii.
You are such a Browns Hater!!top DE, K, 2nd best S, TE, 3rd best Lft Tackle, 2nd rnd value in Brantley, 3rd best run stopping dt in ogonjobi! WHat other team did this good? One Browns A+
Colts have a young developing O-line from last year's draft. That unit needs time to grow. Colts did what they needed to do, which was fix their cellar-dwelling defense.
@ThenAtlasSpoke I tend to differ. Texans have strong roster elsewhere, but their window for deep playoff run is closing shortly. JJ Watt isn't going to last forever, Hopkins and Mercilus are on contract year, etc. They cannot afford to have any patience because the team won't be like this 2018 and on.
I also think they kind of reached for Watson, but if they thought Watson was their only chance (instead of other prospects such as Kizer), then this was their only choice. And even with Tom Savage, the team wasn't going to land top 10 pick in 2018 so they probably weren't getting any good quarterback in 2018... (kind of unlucky that when Texans get high pick the QB class is bad)
I have to defend the Bears, not for their whole draft, but for the Trubisky pick. They're much more talented than their record, so they probably won't be in a position to take a top QB prospect next draft. Even with Glennon, their top need is at QB. "The NFL is a QB driven league. Teams without QBs have no chance." I hear this every day, so how can you bash a team who selects a guy who they fell in love with? Then I saw the comment "They then made the mistake that numerous incompetent teams have made over the years, as they reached for a middling quarterback prospect over a superior talent." Ok so Pat Mahommes is a better prospect than Lattimore? Deshaun Watson is a better prospect than Hooker, Allen, or Howard. Also the Bears didn't have to surrender a first round freaking pick. The NFL is so random, nobody knows if the Chiefs or Texans are playoff teams next year. They made a gamble for sure, but I don't think they should be taking heat for it.

Uhhh you make it seem like they traded a 2nd round pick for Ealy straight up. They moved down 8 spots, that's all. So Ealy for a loss of 8 spots. I think it doesn't matter if Ealy even makes the team. That upside of it makes the trade incredible.
I swear Walt i think you might be biased against the saints. You're the pretty much the only analyst that I have seen give them anything short of a B. A RB like Kamara was a need as neither Ingram or Peterson are all that explosive at this point. And with Strief being older and Armstead always hurt, Ramscyzk could actually olay a lot and be a very good pick. I didn't like te DE out of Miami pick either but if Anzalone can stay somewhat healthy he has loads of potential.

@Brownsfan3
I do like their 2107 draft they grabbed huge 2018 future picks AND found 5 serious starters come sept.
Garrett A
Peppers A
Njoku A
Kizer B+
Ogunjobi B
another 4 players will contribute
Watch out AFC North Browns could be back sooner than later
