Charlie Campbell's 2012 NFL Mock Re-Draft: Round Four

Last update: Saturday, April 28, 2012.
This is a 2012 NFL Mock Re-Draft of Rounds 4 and 5 for Saturday's NFL Draft coverage. With all of the trades that will go down, I don't expect to get many of these right, but it's still fun to speculate where the top prospects will go on Day 3 of the 2012 NFL Draft.

  1. St. Louis Rams: Marvin McNutt, WR, Iowa
The Rams could use more than one wide out and have shown interest in McNutt.

Pick change; previously Sean Spence, OLB

  2. San Francisco 49ers: Brandon Boykin, CB, Georgia
The 49ers could use help at cornerback, and Boykin provides nice depth.

Pick change; previously Dwight Bentley, CB (IND)

  3. Baltimore Ravens: Cam Johnson, DE, Virginia
The Ravens go with the best player available and have shown interest in Johnson.

Pick change; previously Mike Martin, DT/DE (MIN)

  4. Houston Texans: George Iloka, S, Boise State
The Texans could use depth at safety and are brought Iloka in for a visit.

  5. Cleveland Browns: DeQuan Menzie, CB, Alabama
The Browns grab a cornerback to pair with Joe Haden.

Pick change; previously Jamell Fleming, CB

  6. Denver Broncos: Juron Criner, WR, Arizona

Pick change; previously Tony Bergstrom, G (JAX)

  7. Washington Redskins: Robert Turbin, RB, Utah State
The Redskins like mid-round running backs, and Turbin went in for a visit.

  8. Miami Dolphins: Marvin Jones, WR, California
The Dolphins get a nice value pick in Jones. Miami needs receiver help.

Pick change; previously Jake Bequette, DE

  9. Carolina Panthers: Chase Minnifield, CB, Virginia
The Panthers need help at corner and could use more than one.

  10. Buffalo Bills: Kirk Cousins, QB, Michigan State
The Bills add a backup quarterback who will work well with Chan Gailey.

Pick change; previously Russell Wilson, QB

  11. Seattle Seahawks: Chris Polk, RB, Washington
Seattle could use some depth at running back.

Pick change; previously Bernard Pierce, RB

  12. Kansas City Chiefs: Ryan Steed, CB, Furman
Kansas City could use some depth in the secondary and previously brought Steed in for a visit.

  13. Denver Broncos: Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska
The Broncos could stand to fortify their defensive backs, especially after cutting Andre Goodson.

  14. Washington Redskins: Bobby Massie, OT, Ole Miss
The Redskins need tackle help, and Massie is a great fit for their offense.

Pick change; previously Donald Stephenson, OT

  15. San Diego Chargers: Zebrie Sanders, OT, Florida State
The Chargers could use some help at tackle and Sanders is nice value.

Pick change; previously Tavon Wilson, S

  16. Chicago Bears: Keenan Robinson, OLB, Texas
The Bears were said to be really interested in Robinson and could use linebacker depth.

  17. Arizona Cardinals: Emmanuel Acho, ILB/OLB, Texas
The Cardinals could use some depth at linebacker and are able to reunite the Acho brothers. Sam Acho had a nice debut for Arizona in 2011.

  18. Dallas Cowboys: Philip Blake, C/G, Baylor
The Cowboys need help at center.

  19. Seattle Seahawks: Orson Charles, TE, Georgia
The Seahawks could use another tight end for double tight end sets.

Pick change; previously Kirk Cousins, QB (PHI)

  20. Tennessee Titans: Mike Brewster, C, Ohio State
Tennessee could use a young center to pair with veteran free agent-addition Steve Hutchinson.

  21. Cincinnati Bengals: Ben Jones, C, Georgia
The Bengals have interest in Jones and have brought him in for a pre-draft visit.

  22. Detroit Lions: David Molk, C, Michigan
The Lions grab a center who could be Dominic Raiola's eventual replacement. Now in this draft the Lions may have acquired a long-term center, guard and left tackle.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Billy Winn, DE/DT, Boise State
The Vikings could use help on the interior of their line.

Pick change; previously Josh Kaddu, OLB (CLE)

  24. Pittsburgh Steelers: David Paulson, TE, Oregon
The Steelers could use some help at tight end and are interested in Paulson. They brought him in to Pittsburgh for a visit.

  25. Cleveland Browns: Josh Kaddu, OLB, Oregon
The Browns could use another linebacker to pair with D'Qwell Jackson and Chris Gocong. The team brought in Kaddu for a pre-draft visit.

  26. Houston Texans: Ron Brooks, CB, LSU
The Texans could look for corner depth and are interested in Brooks.

  27. New Orleans Saints: Nigel Bradham, OLB, Florida State
The Saints select a fast and physical defender to fortify their linebackers.

  28. Philadelphia Eagles: Josh Norman, CB, Coastal Carolina
The Eagles haven't drafted a cornerback yet.

Pick change; previously Markelle Martin, S (GB)

  29. Buffalo Bills: Tank Carder, ILB/OLB, TCU
The Bills could use some help in the linebackers and are interested in Carder. He made a visit to Buffalo.

Pick change; previously DeQuan Menzie, CB

  30. San Francisco 49ers: Antonio Allen, S, South Carolina
The 49ers could use some depth in the secondary.

  31. Houston Texans: Chris Rainey, RB/WR, Florida
Here, the Texans can get an offensive and special teams weapon.

  32. New York Giants: Trevor Guyton, DE, California
The Giants could use a young end for depth and Guyton is the best available.

  33. Minnesota Vikings: James Hanna, TE, Oklahoma
The Vikings get some tight end depth and have brought Hanna in for a visit.

  34. Oakland Raiders: Brandon Mosley, OT, Auburn
The Raiders could use some more depth on the offensive line.

  35. Baltimore Ravens: Levy Adcock, OT/G, Oklahoma State
The Ravens could use more depth on the offensive line.

  36. New York Giants: Omar Bolden, CB, Arizona State
The Giants could use more depth at corner and hosted Bolden on a pre-draft visit.

  37. Green Bay Packers: Markelle Martin, S, Oklahoma State
The Packers released Nick Collins, so they grab a quality safety to replace him.

  38. Green Bay Packers: Gino Gradkowski, G/C, Delaware
The Packers lost Scott Wells in free agency and Jeff Saturday is just a short-term fill in. Green Bay likes Gradkowski and has hosted him on a visit.

  39. Minnesota Vikings: Shaun Prater, CB, Iowa
The Vikings get some secondary help as Prater would be a great scheme fit.

  40. Dallas Cowboys: Ronnell Lewis, OLB/DE, Oklahoma
I can't fathom how Ronnell Lewis has made it to the third day, and he could be a big time steal.

Pick change; previously Ryan Broyles, WR

As much as I would like the Eagles to take a LB in the first round, I can't see it happening if Reid is still head coach. He just doesn't care about the position for whatever reason. I think they'll go OT or possibly S in the first.

They would be all over Blackmon is he is available. Do you see the guys Bradford is throwing to??? He will never reach his full potential unless they get him someone to throw the ball to.

@ Packer Backer

Sam Shields was great last year in the Packers superbowl run but hasn't played up to that level yet this year. I think he is a solid starter for the Packers to go along with Tramon Williams but the Packers play so much nickel that finding a 3rd corner for when Woodson retires is pretty important. There were good reports coming out of camp about Davon House the Packers 4th round pick last year but then he was bit by the injury bug.

The Packers are going to have to prepare themselves for the day that Charles Woodson calls it a career. Finding his understudy next year would fit Ted Thompson's M.O... Sam Shields..?

I'm not sure you read my earlier comment regarding the packers but you definetely followed it in your new mock! I would be pretty ecstatic if the Packers were able to get Billy Winn in the 2nd round and still get Woodson's understudy in round 1. Also I know both you and Walt have the Packers taking Cousins in the 3rd round, but if Walden doesn't step up, and Zombo doesn't come back and play well an OLB could be a possibility especially in your mock where Bruce Irvin is still available in the 3rd.

what do u mean David Baas is not a longterm answer? They signed em to a big deal at like 4or5 yrs Now if u are trying to say Brewster will get BAAS to slide over to his natural G positon that makes alot more sense as DIEHL is owed 3point 8million next yr and is declining in skill level

i think the Seahawks would take Minnifield in the 2nd since he fits what they're looking for at CB better than Cliff Harris. His size and press coverage is better.

WOW... First round they pick a MLB, a position they picked in the 2nd round in the past two drafts, then they use a 3rd round pick on a RB when they picked one in the 3rd last year??? You are an idiot... I won't look at another mock besides Walt's from here on this site

Um... The Cowboys need a young MLB to go along with Sean Lee??? Didn't they use a 2nd round pick in the real 2011 draft on Bruce Carter who they projected as a 1st round MLB? I respect him trying to do a mock draft on all the teams so early in the fall but his entire reasoning behind the Boys drafting Te'o is negated by the fact they did that in last year's draft. Te'o is an absolute animal but there is NO reason to use 3 early round picks in 3 consecutive years on MLB

MUCH MUCH MUCH better mock draft than Walts. I hope the Panthers exceed their current draft position for the sake of more wins this year and end up a few spots further down (causing them to probably land a CB there and maybe WR or D-line in the 2nd), I would really enjoy this being their outcome. Having Blackmon come in as the #4 WR behind Smitty, Gettis, and Lafell would be amazing since we all know that by the end of the season he'd most likely be the #2 and ready to become the #1 in 2013. This would give the Panthers a wonderful WR set (maybe not to non-panther fans but to us who really believe in Lafell and Gettis). And then another CB to come in and compete with the injured rookie Hogan for that #2 spot, allowing Munny to drop back to the #3 spot where he's a beast. With the addition of Darius Butler this would give the Panthers a wonderful set of CB's.

DRAFT LEWIS AT LB SMART A CHOICE. DRAFTING THAT WR FROM NORTH CAROLINA IS A STEP FOR A TRUE #1 WR.

Perfect Browns draft Id personally go Ricky Wagner over Massie, but thats it. Dont change a thing you hit all our needs and got a great value at each spot.

I'd go crazy if the Rams landed Jeffery, Jenkins, and Polk. The Jeffery and Polk picks seem logical, but I'd don't think Jenkins will fall to 42.
