Walt, are your rankings going to be adjusted at all for Run DMC and Shady McCoy? I saw that Michael Bush resigned so that will hurt and do you think Ronnie Brown will take away goal-line carries or just carries in general? I still don't see how you can rank DMC above J. Charles. Even if he doesn't get 250+ carries he will get his yards and hasn't shown to be injury prone. I would rather have Charles play every game and average 15ppg per say, than have Run DMC average 20ppg and miss 4 weeks. An injury prone guy over someone who is not is a terrible choice in the first round. Re-think that one. Also, looking at every other site, Michael Turner is ranked in the top 20. You have him at 56. Are you just trying to prove a point when he isn't as good so you can say "I told you so?" I would love to be at a draft you pay money to enter to watch you pick Felix Jones over Michael Turner.

I have the 4th pick in my fantasy football league. Do you think Aaron Rogers is a safe pick at 4 knowing that there are not many quality qb's in the league?

A cheat sheet based on ADP for this season from some of the fantasy league hosting sites would be a good idea if at all possible. Or do you have one already?

Jamal Charles is the best running back in the league right now. I won't take him in the top 3, but I hope I'm drafting 11th and he's still there.

@jake actually he has Vick at 28...and its probably because Vick never plays the full season and teams have figured out that his best weapon Desean Jackson only runs post and go routes...

I understand why you think MJD is not top quality anymore. But he is better than Frank Gore, and Jamaal Charles. MJD will pretty much carry the Jags, and he also says he doesn't feel affected by his knees. Frank Gore is guaranteed to get injured, as he does every year, and you already know why Jamaal Charles is a bust. I think he should be ranked higher, but only the preseason will tell (if there is one)

How could u have vick all the way down at 29? I know you hate him and all but come on.... he was the number one overall player last year, and hes comin back with all his weapons, as well as a years experience. Clearly at least a top ten pick.
bye week?

@James,
I think Walt's choice of Murray being that high must be based on the assumption that Dallas will go through their annual revolving-door of RB's due to injuries. I agree that Thomas, Amendola, Winslow, Flacco and Mason from that Tier are all very likely to have much better seasons than Murray, but if indeed Murray can become a starter at any point this season due to Jones getting hurt again, then he's a must-own because of the offense he plays in.

So, you would rather have the THIRD running back of the Cowboys (Murray) over Mike Thomas, a #1 WR? Indeed ...

@Jake. Do you think the Browns had a good passing attack last year and teams were respecting Jake Delhomme and Colt McCoy? No way. Hillis will probably lose a few carries but I don't think he deserves a 24 ranking at running back either.
Watch out for Stafford. He is at #82 and if he can stay healthy he will have a gigantic year! I would select him over Tebow and Eli Manning for sure. There are tons of weapons around him now and his O-Line did OK last year. Still not confident he can stay healthy with Jeff Sackus at left tackle and Raiola at center.

@What??
Charles is now ahead of Gore, but Gore could easily end up being a top-3 RB this year. That injury last year was a fluke, and isn't the type of thing that'll linger or limit his explosion this year. People forget that Gore was borderline dominant last year before getting hurt, despite the fact that he had 2 rookies on his offensive line and the worst coach in the league. If Harbaugh can improve their offense even marginally, Gore should be a lock for 1500 total yards (not to mention more TD's) even if he does miss a few games. Kinda reminds me of S-Jax, who had the injury-prone label, but then started somethin like 30 of his last 32 games as an almost-30-year-old RB.

@Adam, it's not that hard to figure out. Stewart is gonna be forced to carry an offense that, without Smith, might be even worse than last year. Whether it's Claussen or Newton under center, they won't play a single team that'll respect the pass.
Some other factors: --they could still re-sign DeAngelo Williams --new coach + lockout-shortened offseason = growing pains, lack of cohesion on offense --toughest division in football --how much are they gonna run after consistently being down 20-3 at halftime? |
