Malcolm Mitchell, WR, Patriots 
Malcolm Mitchell is showing an “early aptitude” for New England’s offense, according to Mike Reiss, ESPN. Mitchell, a fourth-round rookie, is the No. 4 wideout on the depth chart, but this is significant because learning New England’s passing offense is extremely difficult. Most of the receivers Bill Belichick has drafted have turned out to be busts, but it appears as though Mitchell may break that trend.
July 3
Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals The Bengals believe Tyler Boyd will contribute “early.” Boyd, a second-round rookie, has plenty of ability. He won’t start right away, but could end the year as the team’s No. 2 wideout. He’s someone to monitor as the season moves along.
July 2
Josh Doctson, WR, Redskins Two CSN Mid-Atlantic writers predict that Josh Doctson will catch six touchdowns. The caveat is that they believe Doctson will snatch about 35 receptions. Doctson shouldn’t be chosen in re-draft leagues, but he’ll be worth considering as a pick-up when DeSean Jackson gets hurt. Still, I’m listing Doctson as a stock-up player today because the two beat writers apparently don’t seem to think his current injury is much of an issue.
July 1
Josh Ferguson, RB, Colts Kevin Bowen of Colts.com wrote that Josh Ferguson has the potential to be “special.” Ferguson has a golden opportunity this year, as his only competition is the aging Frank Gore. He’s definitely worth drafting late.
Melvin Gordon, RB, Chargers The San Diego Union-Tribune cited that Melvin Gordon should be 100 percent for training camp. While Gordon has received glowing reports lately, it’s difficult to trust them. Microfracture knee surgery is serious business, so I wouldn’t want to take a chance on that.
June 30
Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons Austin Hooper’s route-running has impressed the coaching staff. This is very significant, as Hooper already had the athleticism. You should generally avoid rookie tight ends in fantasy, but Hooper could end up being an exception.
Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Buccaneers 
Beat writer Roy Cummings was the latest to pile on Austin Seferian-Jenkins, citing he could lose his job because of his poor attitude. Cummings noted that Seferian-Jenkins is a $10 million talent who has a 10-cent brain. It’s best to avoid Seferian-Jenkins in all 12-team leagues.
June 29
Chris Conley, WR, Chiefs Chris Conley has been training with Jeremy Maclin this offseason. Conley has very good athleticism and upside, so it’s nice that he’s taking career seriously. Conley is worth a late-round flier.
Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys DallasCowboys.com is projecting Ezekiel Elliott to reach 300 carries this season. This is a lofty goal – ony one running back eclipsed that mark in 2015 – but the Cowboys didn’t spend the fourth-overall pick on Elliott to have him stand on the sidelines.
June 28
Amari Cooper, WR, Raiders Amari Cooper has been excellent in practices, per Scott Bair, CSN Bay Area. Cooper had a great rookie year despite dealing with an injury at the end of the season. He’s poised to have an amazing sophomore campaign.
Robert Griffin, QB, Browns Robert Griffin’s offseason has been “underwhelming,” according to Tony Grossi, ESPN. I’m shocked. Just shocked. Grossi said that Griffin hasn’t been able to be impressive in padless practices, which obviously bodes poorly for real-life action.
June 27
Julius Thomas, TE, Jaguars Julius Thomas has reportedly been unstoppable in OTAs this offseason. In fact, beat writer Hays Carylon believes Thomas will score double-digit touchdowns – a far cry from his disappointing 2015 campaign. Thomas was banged up and ineffective, but it appears as though he has gotten over his injuries.
Sammy Watkins, WR, Bills Sammy Watkins said he might be back for training camp. I’m noting this because Watkins said he would definitely return earlier, so he’s not as confident now. Watkins could aggravate his foot if he comes back too early, so tread carefully.
