Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em

Fantasy Football: Start Em, Sit Em: Week 11

Rather than quickly listing start em and sit em players on my Week 11 NFL Picks page, I thought I'd devote a new page for this. Follow @walterfootball for updates.

Tennessee Titans (6-3) at Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2)

Start Em:
  • JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers
JuJu Smith-Schuster should continue to dominate.

  • Obvious Starts:
    TEN: None.
PIT: QB Ben Roethlisberger, RB Le'Veon Bell, WR Antonio Brown.

    Sit Em:
  • Delanie Walker, TE, Titans
Delanie Walker could catch a touchdown, but he's banged up. Plus, the Steelers are good versus tight ends.

Detroit Lions (5-4) at Chicago Bears (3-6)

    Start Em:
  • Marvin Jones, WR, Lions
Marvin Jones can be started against Chicago's bad corners.

  • Obvious Starts:
DET: QB Matthew Stafford, RB Ameer Abdullah, WR Golden Tate, Lions Defense.
CHI: RB Jordan Howard, Bears Defense.

    Sit Em:
  • Tarik Cohen, RB, Bears
Tarik Cohen has disappeared. Why? No one knows, including John Fox.

Kansas City Chiefs (6-3) at New York Giants (1-8)

    Start Em:
  • Sterling Shepard, WR, Giants
The Chiefs have problems in their secondary, so Sterling Shepard has a nice matchup.

  • Evan Engram, TE, Giants
Evan Engram has been amazing as a rookie, and he should continue to perform well.

  • Obvious Starts:
KC: RB Kareem Hunt, WR Tyreek Hill, TE Travis Kelce.
    NYG: None.

    Sit Em:
  • Orleans Darkwa, RB, Giants
The Giants figure to be way behind early, so Orleans Darkwa won't have an opportunity to carry the ball very much.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-6) at Miami Dolphins (4-5)

    Start Em:
  • Cameron Brate, TE, Buccaneers
Cameron Brate figures to bounce back against Miami's poor linebackers.

  • DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins
DeVante Parker is healthy again, and he can be used versus Miami's secondary.

  • Obvious Starts:
    TB: WR Mike Evans.
    MIA: WR Jarvis Landry.

    Sit Em:
  • Doug Martin, RB, Buccaneers
Christian McCaffrey scored against the Dolphins, but Doug Martin doesn't have the blocking to be successful.

Baltimore Ravens (4-5) at Green Bay Packers (5-4)

    Start Em:
  • Jeremy Maclin, WR, Ravens
Jeremy Maclin should have a nice matchup against Green Bay's putrid secondary.

  • Obvious Starts:
    BAL: Ravens Defense.
    GB: None.

    Sit Em:
  • Jamaal Williams, RB, Packers
Jamaal Williams isn't a very good runner, so even if he starts, I wouldn't expect him to accomplish much.

  • Jordy Nelson, WR, Packers
Jordy Nelson has yet to do anything with Brett Hundley.

Los Angeles Rams (7-2) at Minnesota Vikings (7-2)

    Start Em:
  • Robert Woods, WR, Rams
Robert Woods has emerged as Jared Goff's No. 1 option, so I'd use him despite the tough matchup.

  • Cooper Kupp, WR, Rams (PPR)
Cooper Kupp can continue to be started in PPR leagues.

  • Obvious Starts:
LAR: QB Jared Goff, RB Todd Gurley, Rams Defense.
MIN: WR Stefon Diggs, WR Adam Thielen (PPR), Vikings Defense.

    Sit Em:
  • Vikings Running Backs
The Minnesota runners keep rotating every week, so good luck trying to figure out which one will do well this time.

Arizona Cardinals (4-5) at Houston Texans (3-6)

    Start Em:
  • Obvious Starts:
ARZ: RB Adrian Peterson, WR Larry Fitzgerald.
    HOU: WR DeAndre Hopkins.

    Sit Em:
  • John Brown, WR, Cardinals
Larry Fitzgerald is the only startable receiver with Drew Stanton (or Blaine Gabbert) under center.

  • Will Fuller, WR, Texans
Will Fuller can't be used with Tom Savage, so even if he's healthy, I wouldn't start him.

Jacksonville Jaguars (6-3) at Cleveland Browns (0-9)

    Start Em:
  • Marqise Lee, WR, Jaguars
Marqise Lee has emerged as Blake Bortles' No. 1 receiver, and that should continue, especially with Allen Hurns out.

  • Obvious Starts:
JAX: RB Leonard Fournette, Jaguars Defense.
    CLE: None.

    Sit Em:
  • Isaiah Crowell, RB, Browns
Isaiah Crowell has played well two games in a row, but he'll likely struggle against Jacksonville's tough run defense.

Washington Redskins (4-5) at New Orleans Saints (7-2)

    Start Em:
  • Kirk Cousins, QB, Redskins
Kirk Cousins has his offensive line back, and he could have lots of garbage-time yardage.

  • Jordan Reed or Vernon Davis, TE, Redskins
Jordan Reed or Vernon Davis can be started, depending on whether or not Reed is cleared to play.

  • Alvin Kamara, RB, Saints
Alvin Kamara can be started even though Mark Ingram is the primary running back. He's so explosive that the Saints will continue to give him plenty of touches.

  • Obvious Starts:
    WAS: RB Chris Thompson (PPR).
NO: QB Drew Brees, RB Mark Ingram, WR Michael Thomas.

    Sit Em:
  • Willie Snead, WR, Saints
Willie Snead is still working his way back from injury.

Buffalo Bills (5-4) at Los Angeles Chargers (3-6)

    Start Em:
  • Obvious Starts:
BUF: RB LeSean McCoy, Bills Defense.
LAC: RB Melvin Gordon, TE Hunter Henry, Chargers Defense.

    Sit Em:
  • Kelvin Benjamin, WR, Bills
I'd leave Kelvin Benjamin on the bench for now, as the Casey Hayward matchup isn't appealing.

  • Keenan Allen, WR, Chargers
Keenan Allen is struggling, and he once again has a tough matchup.

Cincinnati Bengals (3-6) at Denver Broncos (3-6)

    Start Em:
  • Obvious Starts:
CIN: RB Joe Mixon, WR A.J. Green.
DEN: WR Demaryius Thomas, WR Emmanuel Sanders, Broncos Defense.

    Sit Em:
  • Brandon LaFell, WR, Bengals
Brandon LaFell had a big game last week, but that was a fluke.

New England Patriots (7-2) vs. Oakland Raiders (4-5)

    Start Em:
  • Danny Amendola, WR, Patriots (PPR)
With Chris Hogan out, Danny Amendola can be used in PPR leagues.

  • Derek Carr, QB, Raiders
Brock Osweiler threw all over the Broncos in between the 20s, and Derek Carr should be able to do the same thing.

  • Jared Cook, TE, Raiders
The Patriots struggle versus tight ends, so Jared Cook figures to have a solid outing.

  • Obvious Starts:
NE: QB Tom Brady, WR Brandin Cooks, TE Rob Gronkowski.
    OAK: WR Michael Crabtree.

    Sit Em:
  • Patriots Running Backs
It's always unclear which running backs will be used each week. This is not an appealing situation.

  • Marshawn Lynch, RB, Raiders
Marshawn Lynch has been very mediocre this year, so I wouldn't stop him against a defense that is solid versus the run.

Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) at Dallas Cowboys (5-4)

    Start Em:
  • Jay Ajayi, RB, Eagles
With two weeks to get integrated into the offense, Jay Ajayi should get more of an opportunity this week.

  • Obvious Starts:
PHI: QB Carson Wentz, WR Alshon Jeffery, TE Zach Ertz, Eagles Defense.
DAL: QB Dak Prescott, WR Dez Bryant.

    Sit Em:
  • Alfred Morris, RB, Cowboys
The Eagles figure to be ahead throughout, so Alfred Morris won't have much of an opportunity to run.

Atlanta Falcons (5-4) at Seattle Seahawks (6-3)

    Start Em:
  • Tevin Coleman, RB, Falcons
Devonta Freeman is out, so Tevin Coleman can be started, as he'll handle the entire workload.

  • Obvious Starts:
ATL: QB Matt Ryan, WR Julio Jones.
SEA: QB Russell Wilson, WR Doug Baldwin, TE Jimmy Graham.

    Sit Em:
  • Seahawks Running Backs
It seems like Seattle's running back rotation changes every week, and none are having success.
