Now that I've gotten that out of the way: Arm strength isn't that bad. No, it's not a cannon, but it's certainly good enough for the NFL. The running out of the pocket is a result of having one of the worst offensive lines in college football history for his entire career. Considering he's been sacked to hell and back since the first two games of the season, I can't fault him too much for it. His offensive tackles are particularly abysmal.
It's not Clausen's fault the team has underachieved. He's the only thing standing between 6-3 and 2-7.
