Snazzy, you may want to update that sig. The Bears are now 4-5 and are hosting the 5-4 Eagles. Just saying.

So after reading that Bears article, thinking about it, and seeing how horrible the McKaskeys are (Some educated Bear posters pretty much say the Family views the bears as a trust fun) Chi is in a world of hurt. I knew this team had some issues in pre-season, but boy oh boy they were much larger. So with that in mind, my time table for chicago

Year 2009 - Turner gone, but it doesn't matter. No O-line, mediocre WR's, no premium draft picks, DT's suck, DE's getting old, Corners are injury prone/not great...
Year 2010 - Lovie is finally fired but JA is left in, causing us to continue to draft crap
Year 2011 - Finally JA is gone, now we get to watch the bears attempt to re-build...
Year 2012 - Still filling out
Year 2013 - Competitive.

Of course all of this changes if we fire Lovie this year. If we get a Coach who can argue with Jerry and actually hold some power, it might not be as bad. Personally, I think we should go after Shanny but not let him touch defense.

Why shanny?
-- Obviously Cutler
-- Knows how to build a O-line and make it work. We have some undersized bodies for our future (Beekman, C Williams) so maybe the zone blocking scheme would help.
-- Knows how to build an offense

Rumors are Shanahan wants total control, so theres no way he'd settle for handling just the offense.
