Petris would be cool. My brothers know him through Sigma Xi at Arkansas and he's a real cool, smart guy. If that guard from Idaho winds up being the real deal that would be a nice addition. Jahri Evans would probably be very expensive as a free agent guard.
Also, just read on the bears website that if Robbie Gould makes his next two field goals, he will become the most accurate kicker in NFL history.
The article about us ignoring our OL is very true.
We need a significant upgrade and we do not have a lot of picks, the nice thing about OL is that the 3rd and 4th round can produce some serious OG/C talent.
Everyone on the planet other than Smith and his coaching staff can see this...
Quote:
"There's nothing wrong with Matt Forte," Jamie Dukes of NFL Network said. "It's their line.
"The left guard, (Frank) Omiyale, he was leading with his head as opposed to leading with his hands. Time is catching up to (Olin) Kreutz, but he's still a tough football player. If you're asking Pace to pull, he's not your guy because he's a pass blocker. Same goes for (Chris) Williams. (Roberto) Garza's not a great pass blocker, but he's tough and mean."
Dukes offered his take on how to fix the line, particularly in terms of run blocking.
"I'd do more zone-blocking, first of all," he said. "I would be running more draws. I would be spreading teams out because you're a passing team already. I would want to run the football through a pass-oriented set. That's just what I would do."
This is a quote I read and I will provide the sentence after (about Lovie):
""I was here when coach Smith wasn't here," veteran defensive end Alex Brown said. "So, I remember how it was. Not to say anything bad about coach (Dick) Jauron, but it's a lot different now.
I agree with that, but is it really a great vote of confidence to say someone is a better coach than Jauron?"

"We have a tendency to beat people when we're down, or, if we're with the Jets, we have a tendency to tell people we're great when we're only half great."
