2008 Free Agency Page Notes: Star rating is out of five.
Age listing is as of Sept. 11, the first day of the 2008 regular season.
If I missed a signing or a free agent, please let me know. There are so many players on the market I may have missed someone.

  1. Albert Haynesworth, Titans. Age: 27.
    Titans franchise Albert Haynesworth

The Titans would be really dumb to not franchise Albert "The Hamstring" Haynesworth, one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL. In the three games Haynesworth missed, Tennessee surrendered 31.7 points per game. Their season average was 18.6.

  2. Corey Williams, Packers. Age: 28.
Packers trade Corey Williams to the Browns for a second-round pick (No. 56)

The Packers are not expected to re-sign Corey Williams, as they have tons of quality defensive tackles on their roster and cannot afford to keep him. Given that Albert Haynesworth will likely remain a Titan, Williams will be the top defensive tackle on the market.

  3. Brian Young, Saints. Age: 31.
Saints re-sign Brian Young (3 years, $12 million)

Brian Young was placed on the IR after a bout with pneumonia. A shame too because he was having a solid season. If the Saints re-sign one player, this is the guy.

  4. Tommy Kelly, Raiders. Age: 27.
Raiders re-sign Tommy Kelly (7 years, $50.5 million)

One of the better defensive tackles against the run in the NFL, Tommy Kelly spent a good portion of 2007 on injured reserve in the wake of tearing his ACL.

  5. Jovan Haye (RFA), Buccaneers. Age: 26.
    Re-signed with Buccaneers (1 year, $2.017 million)

A solid defensive tackle who is effective against the run. Not worth any big bucks.

  6. Isaac Spopaga, 49ers. Age: 27.
    Re-signed with 49ers

Isaac Sopoaga is solid as a reserve nose tackle and provides decent depth up front for a team running the 3-4, but he shouldn't be a starter.

  7. Ethan Kelley, Browns. Age: 28.
The Browns need an upgrade over Ethan Kelley, who would make a solid backup nose tackle in this league.

  8. Rod Coleman, Falcons. Age: 32.
Done as a starter, Rod Coleman could be an effective backup somewhere. That said, he'll probably be looking for starting money.

  9. Darrell Reid (RFA), Colts. Age: 26. - Re-signed with Colts (1 year, $927,000)
  10. Grady Jackson, Jaguars. Age: 35.
  11. Larry Tripplett, Bills. Age: 29. - Signed with Seahawks
  12. Colin Cole (RFA), Packers. Age: 28. - Re-signed with Packers (1 year, $1.417 million)
  13. Randy Starks, Titans. Age: 24. - Signed with Dolphins (5 years, $21 million)
  14. Damione Lewis, Panthers. Age: 30. - Re-signed with Panthers (3 years, $14 million)
  15. Langston Moore (RFA), Lions. Age: 27. - Re-signed with Lions (1 year)
  16. Spencer Johnson, Vikings. Age: 26. - Signed with Bills (5 years)
  17. Ellis Wyms, Seahawks. Age: 29. - Signed with Vikings (1 year)
  18. Montavious Stanley, Falcons. Age: 27. - Re-signed with Falcons (1 year)
  19. Anthony McFarland, Colts. Age: 30. - Hasn't signed with Steelers
  20. Antonio Garay, Bears. Age: 28.
  21. Ryan Boschetti, Redskins. Age: 26. - Re-signed with Redskins
  22. Chartric Darby, Seahawks. Age: 32. - Signed with Lions (3 years)
  23. Simon Fraser (RFA), Browns. Age: 25. - Signed with Falcons
  24. Brandon McKinney (ERFA), Chargers. Age: 25. - Re-signed with Chargers (1 year)
  25. Rashad Moore, Patriots. Age: 29. - Signed with Falcons
  26. Jason Jefferson (RFA), Bills. Age: 26. - Re-signed with Bills (1 year)
  27. Rodney Bailey, Cardinals. Age: 28.
  28. Anthoiny Maddox, Texans. Age: 30. - Tendered (low) by Texans
  29. LaJuan Ramsey, Eagles. Age: 24. - Signed with 49ers
  30. Darwin Walker, Bears. Age: 31. - Signed with Panthers (1 year, $1 million)
  31. Anthony Bryant, Dolphins. Age: 26.
  32. Bryan Robinson, Bengals. Age: 34. - Signed with Cardinals
  33. Dan Klecko, Colts. Age: 27. - Signed with Eagles (1 year)
  34. Kindal Moorehead, Panthers. Age: 29. - Signed with Falcons (2 years)
  35. Orpheus Roye, Browns. Age: 35.
  36. Cedric Killings, Texans. Age: 30. - Announced retirement
  37. Remi Ayodele, Cowboys. Age: 25.
  38. Marquay Love, Saints. Age: 23.
  39. Chris Cooper, Cardinals. Age: 30. - Signed with Seahawks (1 year)
  40. Antwon Burton, Broncos. Age: 25.
  41. Babatunde Oshinowo, Bears. Age: 25.
  42. Zarnell Fitch, Ravens. Age: 25.
  43. Keith Traylor, Dolphins. Age: 39.
  44. Ted Washington, Browns. Age: 40.
  45. Kimo von Oelhoffen, Eagles. Age: 37. - Signed with Eagles

  46. Manuel Wright, Giants. Age: 24.
Safe to say that Manuel Wright cried after he was cut by the Giants.

  47. Jimmy Kennedy, Bears. Age: 28.
    Signed with Jaguars

Only one free agent this offseason is as crappy as Mike Williams, and that's Jimmy Kennedy. Remember when he said that the Rams were winning the Super Bowl when they drafted him? Yeah, how's that working out, Jimmy? No stars for you. Come back next year.
