Round 1

Round 1: 1-15
1. 76ers: Markelle Fultz, Point Guard, Washington

Philly completes its Big 3. Like the pick for them. Fultz fits in well.

2. Lakers: Lonzo Ball, Point Guard, UCLA

DLo out must mean Ball in, right? IMO Ball is overrated a tad, but he seems like a destined Laker.

3. Celtics: Jonathan Isaac, Small Forward, Florida State

Jackson is refusing to workout and Tatum's iso/ball-stopping nature doesn't fit here with the Celtics looking to sign a star. That leaves Isaac who fits the new era of ball to a tee. He seems like another left field pick from Ainge.

4. Suns: Josh Jackson, Small Forward, Kansas

IMO Jackson's 1B in the draft and he goes 4. Phoenix should be good in a few years.

Suns's Needs via ESPN's RPM

5. Kings: De'Aaron Fox, Point Guard, Kentucky

Kings love Fox and should get him here. He's a gamer.

6. Magic: Jayson Tatum, Small Forward, Duke

Some believe Payton showed enough to warrant another year as lead guard. Here's Tatum for a much needed scoring punch.

7. Timberwolves: Dennis Smith, Point Guard, N.C. State

A Derrick Rose type PG for Thibs (NOTE: not saying he's prime D-Rose, just that he's another hyper-athletic PG for Coach Thibs). He should make Rubio expendable. Smith has as much potential as anyone.

Timberwolves's Needs via ESPN's RPM

8. Knicks: Frank Ntilikina, Point Guard, France

Rumors are that the Knicks love Frank, who has crazy length and should be a decent fit for the triangle?

9. Mavericks: Zach Collins, Center, Gonzaga

I think Dallas goes Collins over Markkanen because of Collins' superior upside and versatility.

10. Kings: Malik Monk, Guard, Kentucky

Not out of the question Sacramento gets both Kentucky guards. With Monk on the board still, Kings should go with him as BPA.

Kings's Needs via ESPN's RPM

11. Hornets: Justin Jackson, Small Forward, North Carolina

IMO Jackson should be picked around the late teens-early twenties, but this is MJ we're talking about. His aversion to drafting young players combined with the Tarheel connection make Jackson the pick.

Hornets's Needs via ESPN's RPM

12. Pistons: Luke Kennard, Shooting Guard, Duke

The Pistons desperately need shooting, and Kennard fills that. He also has the ball skills to run the point in a pinch. This pick may be traded.

13. Nuggets: O.G Anuoby, Guard, Indiana

*Anunoby fits this era of basketball well. His defense, athleticism, and positional versatility make him an attractive pick for the Nuggets who desperately need defensive help.

14. Heat: Lauri Markkanen, Power Forward, Arizona

Markkanen can shoot. Can he defend and rebound? Meh. If any system can hide his flaws, it's Miami who need help at the 4. He would be a nice complement to Whiteside.

Heat's Needs via ESPN's RPM

15. Blazers: John Collins, Power Forward, Wake Forest

Collins is very athletic and young with a seemingly high floor. His defense is a huge question mark but the Trail Blazers need help down low.
