Round 1

Picks 1-16
1. Browns: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

I don't honestly need to explain why Cleveland needs a QB do I? Oh Why Rosen over Darnold, because Darnold makes way too many mistakes and might actually go back to school yet again anyway. USC underperforms with the talent they have. So really it isn't even a Rosen thing but a not Darnold thing honestly.

2. 49ers: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

Carlos Hyde stays hurt and there is even Trade talk surrounding him because he's just not getting the job done. Meanwhile Barkley is lighting college up a and showing a weekly explosion on offense. IMO he's a perfect compliment to Kirk Cousins.

3. Giants: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

I know I said he makes mistakes but let him set behind Eli for a year or two or three a'la A A Ron Rogers behind Brett Favre and see if maybe he can learn to not. Barkley or OL would have been brilliant choices too.

4. Colts: Arden Key, Defensive End, LSU

Another team that needs a strong QB since Luck hasn't played in a while and you don't even honestly know how he'll play when he comes back. Were I Indy, I might even trade Luck should the right 3 RD1 pick offer come along and then rebuild a team that has suffered since Peyton left.

Regardless of who the QB is OL would have probably been their most pressing need too but talent trumps everything and this picks a no brainer with their poor defense.

5. Buccaneers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

TJ Ward was brought in to supplement this back field but now he's just frustrated over his lack of playing time. Meanwhile Tandy isn't making the plays they need to stop peoples deep game. You can't pass on talent like James because of an againg Veteran who can't find the field. Look for a RB in RD2. Martin is done and no one else can handle the load fulltime.

6. Bengals: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

Cincinnati thought they had replacements on the bench when they let their top two OLmen go last off-season but the Rookie Mixon can tell you other wise. All the talent in the world doesn't matter with out a hole to run through or Barry Sanders in your back field. Plus Dalton can't even find the time to throw between flying DLmen in his face.

7. Raiders: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

This one is tough because Offensively they need a slot WR and a RB...not RD1 choices IMO. However on Defense they need LB help drastically but no one really projects this highly at this point in the season. DL Depth is another possibility but who drafts depth in RD1? So all that being what it is, I think taking the best player Avail might be the smart choice. Adding a CB to Conley, Obi, and Joseph would make for a dangerous group if all pan out.

8. Bears: Calvin Ridley, Wide Receiver, Alabama

Kevin White can't stay on the field, Cam wasn't that highly of a WR before his injury and no one else can catch for this young QB except his explosive RB's. Ridley is by Far IMO the best WO in this class but doesn't get his due because of Bama's Ground game taking over games.

9. Cardinals: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Carson Palmer might be done with this Broken Arm of his but even if he isn't it's time to prepare for the future. You don't want to waste David Johnson's amazing career losing the way they have. Find another WR later in the Draft to learn under Fitzgerald and hope this Allen Kid shows out with actual talent around him.

10. Chargers: Trey Adams, Offensive Tackle, Washington

For some strange reason this team has ignored their OL for years and kept their offense off balance needlessly. They have a good QB, RB, TE, and #1 WR all they need to do is block for them and they'll compete in that division.

11. Jets: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

Their defense is stout and last years #1 pick is ballin' but the offense needs help. But as we all know they need a QB more than anything. Jackson is a risky injury play waiting to happen but if he stays healthy, he's uber talented.

Look for a #1 WR in the 2 or 3 rounds.

12. Ravens: Christian Kirk, Wide Receiver, Texas A&M

As a Steelers fan, I believe that the Ravens need a real good Punter here but I don't think that's the where they'll go. Honestly a solid RB is their biggest need IMO. Look at how far they fell just as soon as Ray Rice was suspended. Lurch is not Elite and never has been but he's talented enough to win games when he has a solid ground game balancing out their offense. All that said, I can't see them jumping for Guice or Chubb in RD1 unless they blow up the combine and their pro days. So I have them looking to replace an older unproductive player like Mike Wallace instead.

13. Lions: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

A'Shawn Robinson another Bama boy needs more meat next to him to clog up the middle of that DL and free up Glover Quin and the surprisingly good Secondary this season. They could also use LB help but the position doesn't rate yet.

14. Cowboys: Martinas Rankin, Offensive Tackle, Mississippi State

Selecting a RT solves two positions of dire need for this team. Doug Free left and is being replaced by RD1 Talent Lael Collins who belongs inside at Guard. meanwhile they lost a OG too and Chaz Green isn't replacing him well enough to keep Dakota Prescott comfortable in the pocket like he was in his rookie season. Of Course they also need a #1 WR, Dez isn't what he used to be and Cole Beasley is a Slot guy. They need a solid outside player to take pressure off and open the field up.

15. Browns: Equanimeous St. Brown, Wide Receiver, Notre Dame

(F/Hou VIA TRADE 2017)

The odds of Josh Gordon coming back are slim, Corey Coleman is good when healthy but Sammy Coates can't catch. That's Why Pittsburgh traded him. If you want your new young QB to succeed then give him a good ground game and weapons to throw too.

16. Falcons: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Even by adding Poe and Drafting Tak you still are left with an aging DL that consistently under performs. If you can't pressure the opposing offenses you're going to have to win shoot outs and it's not often that you win championships in that fashion.
