Round 1

1. Browns: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

After failing to send in the paperwork to acquire AJ McCarron, the Browns are back on QB watch. Rosen is the best passer in this class and the most NFL ready.

2. 49ers: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

Trading for Jimmy G marks off the 49ers' biggest offseason need. Now the front office is clear to grab the best player in the draft Saquon Barkley. They also will want to surround Jimmy G with weapons.

3. Giants: Mason Rudolph, Quarterback, Oklahoma State

The Giants prepare for life after Eli here. If the Giants get a top 3 pick I have a hard time believing they wouldn't take a QB for the future. Rudolph has shown to me that he is better than Darnold.

4. Colts: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

The Colts have allowed the most 20+ yard pass plays in the league. With Fitzpatricks versatility and size he would really hep this secondary.

5. Buccaneers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

Tampa has one of the worst defenses in the league. Derwin James who is a top 3 player in the draft will certainly help this secondary. James is reliable in the run game and has good coverage skills.

6. Jets: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Although McCown hasn't been horrible this year he hasn't been great either. And at 38 years old is clearly not a franchise QB. In this mock draft I'm assuming Darnold comes out into the draft.

7. Raiders: Mike McGlinchey, Offensive Tackle, Notre Dame

The Raiders have to fix the defense, but that may come with the development of Gareon Conley and Obi Melifonwu. Don't sleep on Left Tackle, given the age of Donald Penn and his holdout earlier this year. McGlinchey is a Taylor Decker-type blocker who can step right up into the starting lineup.

8. Chargers: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Josh Allen is not a plug-and-play Quaterback but has the athleticism and tools to be the successor to Philip Rivers once he retires. This doesn't fill an immediate need but sets the Chargers up for the future.

9. Bears: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

The Bears are going to want to surround Tribusky with weapons. So why not not choose the best WR in the draft. At 6'4 Sutton moves much quick for his size, and makes him a deep threat.

10. Cardinals: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Carson Palmer has been mediocre this season and the Cardnials need a QB. Mayfield has a strong arm and should develop well behind a veteran.

11. Bengals: Roquan Smith, Inside Linebacker, Georgia

Roquan Smith gets better and better after each week. And as his team moves up the rankings he receives more and more attention. The Bengals take a ILB here because I think they're tired of Burficts crap and want to move on.

12. Broncos: Orlando Brown, Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma

The Broncos have to figure out the Quaterback position but are unlikely to use another 1st round-draft pick on one. Instead, they make the O-line stronger.

13. Browns: James Washington, Wide Receiver, Oklahoma State

The Browns will want to surround whoever the QB is with weapons. James Washington is a NFL ready WR who can come in and earn the WR1 position.

14. Lions: Bryce Love, Running Back, Stanford

Even though Ameer Abdullah and Theo Reddick are fun to use and elusive, they haven't ran the ball well. Bryce Love who rushed for 200 yards in 5 straight games can come in and give Stafford a run game.

15. Redskins: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

This pick goes without saying, the Redskins are HORRIBLE in the secondary.

16. Ravens: Derrius Guice, Running Back, LSU

The Ravens have one of the worst run games in the NFL. Remember when they did have a run gain though...Oh yeah they won the Superbowl. Guice who is a 3 down back would be a huge acquisition for the Ravens.
