Round 1

1. Browns: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Browns take their top rated QB. Signing C. Hyde drops RB down as a critical need. QB class is incredibly close on talent and value. B. Mayfield throwing the rock 60mph shows he has a better arm than thought. J. Allen is also in the mix. J. Rosen stated he`d be happy playing for the Browns. Till it gets closer to draft day this pick is possibly even up for grabs !! Changing this pick to S. Darnold for now. Even with the T. Taylor trade, they draft a QB @ #1.

*prior pick s.barkley*

2. Giants: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

Last time the Giants had the #2 pick they went defense. Some scouts are saying he is even better than M. Garrett. Signing N. Solder was big for them. They may like D. Webb enough to be their next franchise QB. Eli plays a few more years in the big apple.

3. Jets: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

Possible he goes higher... strong upside so the Jets make their move. This years QB class will be fluid leading up to draft day. J. Rosen is also a QB prospect they may target. MANY teams are still calling the Browns so the Jets offer their 2018 #6, 2018 RD2, 2018 RD2 via seahawks, and a 2019 RD2 to the Colts.

VIA Colts.

4. Browns: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

Another big change to this mock. J. Thomas just retired. The Browns see Q. Nelson as their new OT. He has the size and strength to play outside. A perfect fit for the new look Browns.

VIA Texans.

5. Broncos: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

OT/OG later rounds. They have C. Kelly waiting in the wings. I see them keeping only 1 of the 3 QB`s that started in the 2017 season. C. Keenum was just signed and will be their bridge QB till C. Kelly or P. Lynch is ready. Broncos grab the athletic SS/FS D. James. Some scouts say he has enough speed to even play the CB position. Combine was impressive.

6. Colts: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

Colts are amazed their top ranked player has dropped to #6. They jump at the chance to trade down and grab a superstar RB. Great pick for the Colts. They trade the 2018 # 3 to the Jets. Jets give up 2018 #6 2018 RD2, 2018 RD2 via seahawks, 2019 RD2.

VIA Jets.

7. Buccaneers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Best FS and field captain in this draft. Has stated he likes playing in the slot -vs- being on the outside. Immediate impact for the Bucs. Draft is deep for them to get other needs in the later rounds. They will move J. Evans to SS.

*prior pick q. nelson*

8. Bills: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

They grab their future QB and hope he becomes a steal. The J. Rosen slide ends @ #8 with the Bills. They trade their 2018 # 21 pick and LT C. Glenn to the Bengals. They receive the Bengals 2018 # 12 pick. They trade the 2018 #12 via bengals & 2018 RD3 #65 via browns to move up 4 spots.

VIA Bears.

9. 49ers: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

BPA. R. Smith makes an instant impact @ LB for the Niners. R. Foster may be on the way out so they grab the most athletic LB in the draft. If his injured shoulder tests poor he may drop down boards. Incredible motor & football IQ.

10. Saints: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

Brees will tame him down and coach him up. Baker will watch for maybe 2 years as the Saints look to finish Drew Brees`s career on a high note. Their team is set up for a smaller QB...Fiery attitude and drive to offset his smaller frame. His height and red flags scare off enough teams that he falls to #10. Saints make their move & trade their 2018 #28 & 2019 RD1 picks.

11. Dolphins: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

Big time player for the Dolphins. Scouting report showed his receivers dropped nearly 9% of his passes. His accuracy is better than his statistics showed. Slower ball speed ( 49 mph ) was exactly the same as D. Watson threw last year. They are very similar in skillset. R. Tannehill is average at best. Been a few reports some teams see him as the #2-3 QB this year.

12. Bears: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Climbing boards by the week. Being compared to Anthony Barr, so he has great speed and talent. Has the size to play inside. Speed to play outside. Look for them to draft another WR later this draft. They trade down with a QB needy team. They receive 2018 #12 and 2018 RD3 #65.

VIA Cincy/Via Bills.

13. Redskins: Will Hernandez, Offensive Guard, UTEP

Big combine gets him into RD1. His strength is incredible. Not that far behind Q. Nelson on his skillset so the Skins grab a potential all-pro steal. Interior pass protection has become a more critical need for the pass happy NFL. OG is becoming a more sought after position for many teams.

14. Packers: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Pack needs help all over. They grab the top rated CB in the 2018 draft.

*Prior pick T. Edmunds*

15. Cardinals: Kolton Miller, Offensive Tackle, UCLA

Cards stay put and grab the top OT left on the board. His combine was outstanding.

16. Ravens: Courtland Sutton, Wide Receiver, SMU

His combine has him rising up boards. Tons of great tape. He has passed all the WR`s in this years draft. Great pick for the Ravens.
