Round 1

Round 1: 1-15
1. Suns: DeAndre Ayton, Center, Arizona

Ayton has the look of a franchise-changing big man. They opt for the center over the wing to fill a more pressing need.

2. Kings: Luka Doncic, Small Forward, Slovenia

The Kings will take whomever the Suns don't between Ayton and Doncic. They would prefer Doncic as they already have a crowd at center.

3. Hawks: Marvin Bagley III, Power Forward, Duke

The Hawks add a talented scorer to pair with John Collins in the frontcourt. Bagley serves to be instant offense for Atlanta.

4. Grizzlies: Jaren Jackson, Power Forward, Michigan State

The Grizzlies would have wanted to get one of the top 3 players, but Jackson has the potential to be an elite player. He has time to grow behind Marc Gasol.

5. Mavericks: Mohamed Bamba, Center, Texas

This pick could change depending on who the Mavs get in free agency. Right now, there is a big hole at center that they can fill with Bamba.

6. Magic: Michael Porter Jr., Small Forward, Missouri

Mario Hezonja has been a flop, so the Magic look for another wing player. Porter could be the steal of the draft if he heals fully from his back injury.

7. Bulls: Trae Young, Point Guard, Oklahoma

Both Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine shot below the league average in 3 pt %. With the only major perimeter threat being Lauri Markanen, the Bulls grab the shooting sensation out of Oklahoma.

Bulls's Needs via ESPN's RPM

8. Cavaliers: Collin Sexton, Point Guard, Alabama

The Cavs have been in desperate need of backcourt scoring because of Kyrie Irving's departure. Sexton is one of the top scorers in this class.

9. Knicks: Wendell Carter Jr., Power Forward, Duke

The Knicks are in the position where they should draft the best player available. Carter can fill out their frontcourt with Kristaps Porzingis.

10. 76ers: Mikal Bridges, Small Forward, Villanova

The 76ers would be ecstatic if Bridges was still here. A 3-and-D wing that fills a big need on a potential contender that also won an NCAA championship in the same city.

76ers's Needs via ESPN's RPM

11. Hornets: Miles Bridges, Small Forward, Michigan State

Small forward is one of the bigger needs for Charlotte, and Bridges serves to be one of the better 2-way players this year.

Hornets's Needs via ESPN's RPM

12. Clippers: Robert Williams, Power Forward, Texas A&M

The Clippers could lose Deandre Jordan, thinning out their frontcourt even further after dealing Blake Griffin. They take the best available big man.

Clippers's Needs via ESPN's RPM

13. Clippers: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Point Guard, Kentucky

The Clippers fill out another need after losing a franchise player in Chris Paul. Gilgeous-Alexander is the best PG available.

Clippers's Needs via ESPN's RPM

14. Nuggets: Kevin Knox, Small Forward, Kentucky

The Nuggets have their franchise center in Nikola Jokic and have been adding to their backcourt so adding a talented forward prospect makes sense.

Nuggets's Needs via ESPN's RPM

15. Wizards: Zhaire Smith, Shooting Guard, Texas Tech

The Wizards would love for a big man to fall to them, but they are too high for one now. Smith has major upside; he just needs to develop further.
