This new tool condenses 2017 NBA Mock Draft content from around WalterFootball.com. Below are all the 2017 NBA Mock Draft selections for the Mavericks from Paul Banks' and David Kay's 2017 NBA Mock Draft and a summary from the WalterFootball.com 2017 Mock NBA Draft Builder.

Dallas Mavericks
Mock Selections from Paul Banks and David Kay
  • Rd. 1, Pk. 9 Frank Ntilikina, PG, France
With great size for the next level, the Belgian is at his best when creating off the dribble. The Mavericks don't have a point guard of the future and are reportedly very high on Ntilikina.

Dallas Mavericks
Mock Selections from Mike Elworth
  • Rd. 1, Pk. 4 DeAndre Ayton, C, Arizona
The best offensive true center in the 2018 NBA Draft, Ayton is a stud prospect. He is an elite rebounder and shot-blocker, too, meaning this is a player who the Mavericks could build around. A trio of Ayton, Dennis Smith Jr. and Harrison Barnes could be something excellent.

5 Most Commonly Picked Players

Frank Ntilikina, PG, France, .
Going to the Mavericks on 18 mock drafts

Featured Writeup:
Ntilikina is a big, aggressive point guard and an improving shooter with a high basketball IQ. If he were a bit more explosive athletically, he might be a top-five pick. The Knicks have liked him for a while, but he somewhat apparently prefers the Mavs. The Mavs need a guard of the future by Yogi Ferrel, and Dirk Nowitzki thinks they will draft a PG. Hence this selection.

Dennis Smith, PG, N.C. State, .
Going to the Mavericks on 14 mock drafts

Featured Writeup:
Right now Dallas has Harrison Barnes, an aging frontcourt, and a lot of questions going forward. They could stand to take Zach Collins or maybe another 4 or 5 here but they really need the best player available for the future because this team has a lot of question marks going forward. Smtih could be the steal of the draft if he comes back to what he was pre-injury.

Lauri Markkanen, PF, Arizona, .
Going to the Mavericks on 9 mock drafts

Featured Writeup:
Markkanen could fill a Dirk sized hole if he retires. Markkanen is a very established shooter with incredible size which is similar to Dirk. He is shooting 45% from deep and 84% from the free throw line. I think it's safe to say Markkanen will thrive with Carlisle as a coach.

Zach Collins, C, Gonzaga, .
Going to the Mavericks on 4 mock drafts

Featured Writeup:
The Mavs have a decent roster, but the bigs are aging. Zach Collins is a bit of a unknown as he mostly came off the bench this past season but has skills in the post and can develop into a good player.

Jonathan Isaac, SF, Florida State, .
Going to the Mavericks on 3 mock drafts

Featured Writeup:
Tremendous length, needs to bulk up and work on a few things, but can contribute right away as a starter in Dallas.
