We are back! I didn't watch one minute of the NBA All-Star game other than a few dunk gifs, so I am back and ready for some real and fake basketball.
I do wish we could have college basketball DFS, because I love this time of year in NCAA action, while the NBA can get bogged down in tanking, but tanking teams give value in DFS oftentimes, so it can be fun if you stay on top of everything. And that's what I'm here to help with! So let us get down to business.
Mudiay has been practicing with the first team and is likely to get the start and see starter's minutes. He'll also get a great matchup against Orlando, who rank third worst in EFF allowed and worst in FDP allowed to point guards on the season.
Satoransky has played extremely well over his last three games, hitting 31, 41 and 38 FDP in each, while seeing 33 or more minutes. His price has risen of course, but it is still decent and he gets a good matchup with Cleveland, who has allowed the second most FDP and third most EFF to the position.
This Clippers/Warriors game has a 234 point over/under, while the Cavs/Wizards game comes in second with a 220 point over/under, so we should see plenty of fantasy points flying around the arena and Williams has been putting up a lot of fantasy points since Blake Griffin was shown the door. His upside against the Warriors is also great, as he hit 58.9 FDP in their last matchup.
Redick has been shooting well since returning from his injury and has topped 23 FDP in his last five games, with an average of 27 FDP. He's never my favorite for cash games, but he gets a strong matchup against the Bulls, who have allowed the second most EFF and the third most FDP to the position this season.
The Bulls continue to descend into full tank mode and will sit Robin Lopez and rearrange their starting lineup to include Nwaba, who is at the rock-bottom FanDuel price. Philly is middling against small forwards and Nwaba can play in this league, so it will likely be tough for him not to give you value at 3.5k.
Crabbe has topped 31 FDP in his last four games and Charlotte has been weak against small forwards this season. Brooklyn usually keeps their players' minutes down, but with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris LeVert both out, Crabbe's minutes have topped 30 in five straight games.
The Knicks get a great matchup with the Magic, who have been awful defensively this season, especially to small forwards. Beasley has been pushed into big minutes with The Unicorn hobbled, topping 33 FDP in his last four games.
Power forward is dicey on FanDuel tonight, so I'd like to be able to get Simmons in my lineup despite his high price. He has been on absolute fire of late, hitting 40-plus FDP in 10 of his last 13 and six straight. He'll take on a Bulls team that is tanking and awful against power forwards.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Caris LeVert remain out, so Acy will continue to see big minutes, as he's topped 31 minutes in his last three. He's been all over the place in those three games but has hit value or more in two of the three. Charlotte can be beaten by power forwards and Acy is cheap enough to hit value with just 19 FDP.
