*** THIS IS A LIVE 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Landry Jones, QB, Oklahoma
Don’t count out the Chiefs using a mid-round pick on a young quarterback to groom behind Alex Smith. If the Redskins could use first- and fourth-rounders on signal-callers, why can’t Kansas City?

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Hugh Thornton, G, Illinois
More offensive line help for the Jaguars: They have a big need at left guard.

Pick change; previously David Quessenberry. G/C/OT

  3. Philadelphia Eagles: Nick Kasa, TE, Colorado
The Eagles have shown a ton of interest in Nick Kasa – go here to see the 2013 NFL Draft Prospect Meetings – but that shouldn’t be a surprise, given that Kelly is familiar with Kasa, having coached against him in the Pac-12. Kelly loves utilizing tight ends in his offense, and the Eagles need one even after signing James Casey, given that Brent Celek is in decline.

  4. Detroit Lions: B.W. Webb, CB, William & Mary
The Lions still need cornerback help even after re-signing Chris Houston.

Pick change; previously Will Davis, CB

  5. Seattle Seahawks: Gerald Hodges, OLB, Penn State
The Seahawks don’t have much depth at linebacker, so they may use a mid-rounder to address that.

Pick change; previously Dion Sims, TE

  6. Cleveland Browns: Chase Thomas, DE/OLB, Stanford
Michael Lombardi is a fan of having tons of pass-rushers. He could use some more depth.

  7. Arizona Cardinals: Mike Gillislee, RB, Florida
The Cardinals don’t have a proven running back on their roster, so they may spend a mid-round pick on a possible upgrade.

Pick change; previously Jawan Jamison, RB

  8. New York Jets: Brandon McGee, CB, Miami
Regardless of whether or not they trade Darrelle Revis, look for the Jets to spend at least one pick on a cornerback. Rex Ryan loves drafting corners.

Pick change; previously B.W. Webb, CB

  9. Tennessee Titans: Jordan Mills, OT, Louisiana Tech
Right tackle David Stewart probably won’t be around much longer, so the Titans may want to find a possible successor in the 2013 NFL Draft.

  10. Buffalo Bills: Shawn Williams, S, Georgia
The Bills cut George Wilson, so they’ll need some depth at safety.

Pick change; previously Josh Evans, S

  11. New Orleans Saints: William Gholston, DE/DT, Michigan State
The Saints need to continue adding personnel for their new 3-4. They’re pretty thin up front.

  12. San Diego Chargers: Jawan Jamison, RB, Rutgers
The Chargers signed Danny Woodhead, but he’s obviously not a threat to overtake Ryan Mathews as the lead back. San Diego needs someone to challenge the injury-prone bust.

Pick change; previously Brandon McGee, CB

  13. Miami Dolphins: Kwame Geathers, NT, Georgia
The Dolphins franchised Randy Starks, but Paul Soliai is entering his walk year. That means both defensive tackles will be free agents next March.

Pick change; previously Jordan Hill, DT

  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Stepfan Taylor, RB, Stanford
The Buccaneers need an upgrade behind Doug Martin in the event that LeGarrette Blount is dealt.

  15. Carolina Panthers: Duke Williams, S, Nevada
Hiro Nakamura could stop time. Haruki Nakamura can’t stop anyone. He has to be upgraded. The Panthers desperately need safety help.

  16. St. Louis Rams: Mike Catapano, DE, Princeton
The Rams don’t really have any depth behind Chris Long, Robert Quinn and William Hayes. They may draft a pass-rusher in the middle rounds.

Pick change; previously Gerald Hodges, OLB

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Dion Sims, TE, Michigan State
The Steelers could be looking for a tight end in the draft, given that Heath Miller is coming off a brutal knee injury.

Pick change; previously Kenny Stills, WR

  18. Dallas Cowboys: Josh Boyce, WR, TCU
Miles Austin-Jones will be back next year, but he may not be around much longer after that. The Cowboys will have to find a long-term solution across from Dez Bryant.

Pick change; previously Sean Porter, OLB

  19. New York Giants: Kevin Reddick, ILB, North Carolina
More linebacker help for the Giants. Dan Connor was signed, but that was just for a 1-year deal.

Pick change; previously Sanders Commings, CB/S

  20. Chicago Bears: Luke Marquardt, OT, Azusa Pacific
Here’s another offensive lineman for the Bears. They clearly aren’t too pleased with J’Marcus Webb, so they may want to bring in some competition for him.

  21. Washington Redskins: Earl Wolff, S, N.C. State
Brandon Meriweather’s contract voids after this season, so it wouldn’t surprise me if the Redskins double up on the safety position.

Pick change; previously Rod Sweeting, CB

  22. Minnesota Vikings: Will Davis, CB, Utah State
The Vikings shocked everyone when they cut Antoine Winfield recently. Cornerback help is now needed.

Pick change; previously Reid Fragel, OT

  23. Cincinnati Bengals: Zac Dysert, QB, Miami of Ohio
The Bengals’ current No. 2 quarterback is Zac Robinson, so they may draft a backup signal-caller in the middle rounds this April.

  24. San Francisco 49ers: Walter Stewart, DE/OLB, Cincinnati
The 49ers are all about drafting high-upside players and redshirting them until they’re ready to play. They could do that with Walter Stewart, who would be a second-round prospect if it weren’t for his injury concerns.

  25. Seattle Seahawks: Demetrius McCray, CB, Appalachian State
The Seahawks haven’t drafted a cornerback yet, so here’s one. Demetrius McCray is the type of tall, long corner Pete Carroll loves to have on his defense.

  26. Green Bay Packers: Stansly Maponga, DE/OLB, TCU
Before Erik Walden left, I wrote that the Packers need to make sure Walden wouldn’t be on the field next year. It’s strange that the Colts paid him so much money.

  27. Houston Texans: Michael Mauti, ILB, Penn State
The Texans will be looking for multiple inside linebackers in the draft because they have no depth there.

  28. Denver Broncos: Josh Evans, S, Florida
Denver’s young corners played well alongside Champ Bailey, but safety help is needed because Michael Adams isn’t very good. He’s going to be a 32-year-old entering his contract season anyway. There’s Quinton Carter as well, but the coaching staff could be down on him after he was arrested.

Pick change; previously Mike Catapano, DE

  29. Washington Redskins: Trevardo Williams, DE/OLB, Connecticut
The Redskins lost Lorenzo Alexander to the Cardinals, so they may want to add to their outside linebacker depth.

  30. Atlanta Falcons: Akeem Spence, DT, Illinois
More help for the Falcons’ defensive line. Peria Jerry just can’t seem to live up to his potential because of his knee problems.

  31. Cleveland Browns: Oday Aboushi, G/OT, Virginia
If the Browns trade down from No. 6, they may target Chance Warmack or Jonathan Cooper because they have a big hole at left guard. If they don’t land either, they’ll have to address that need later on.

  32. Baltimore Ravens: Ryan Otten, TE, San Jose State
Both Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson will be free agents next spring, so the Ravens are unlikely to keep both. Here’s a replacement.

Pick change; previously Michael Williams, TE

  33. Miami Dolphins: Terry Hawthorne, CB, Illinois
The Dolphins will probably draft two cornerbacks, given the uncertainty with Brent Grimes.

Pick change; previously Josh Johnson, CB

  34. Green Bay Packers: Brian Winters, G, Kent State
Even if the Packers draft a center and use Evan Dietrich-Smith as a reserve guard, they’ll still be thin on the interior.

Pick change; previously Earl Wolff, S

  35. Baltimore Ravens: Nick Williams, DE/DT, Samford
The Ravens signed Chris Canty and Marcus Spears, but both are 30-plus. Considering that, as well as Arthur Jones’ impending free agency next spring, Ozzie Newsome may want to draft a defensive lineman in the middle rounds.

Pick change; previously Shawn Williams, S
