Drafted by Chargers
Overall 260
Round: 7 Number: 39
1. Purdue image Zander Horvath, FB, Purdue
Height: 6-2. Weight: 234.
Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
Projected Round (2022): 5-7
View Ranking History

4/26/22: Horvath played in two games before being sidelined with a broken fibula that required surgery. He returned to the field against Nebraska in late October. He totaled 320 yards and three touchdowns on 91 carries - a 3.5 yards-per-carry average.

7/3/21: Horvath was one of the few players to be listed as a fullback on NFL teams' preseason watch list even though he is a running back for Purdue. In 2020, Horvath ran tough for the Boilermakers while also showing receiving ability. He lacks the speed to play running back in the NFL, but he could be a fullback who also contributes as a blocker and receiver.

Previous Seasons

  • '21 - Spencer Brown, UAB
  • '20 - Mikey Daniel, South Dakota State
  • '19 - Qadree Ollison, Pittsburgh
2. Wisconsin image John Chenal, FB, Wisconsin
Height: 6-2. Weight: 256.
Projected 40 Time: 4.85.
Projected Round (2022): 6-FA
View Ranking History

4/26/22: Chenal totaled 32 carries for 78 yards and two touchdowns in 2021. He could be a solid, old-school fullback in the NFL.

7/3/21: Chenal could earn NFL consideration as the Badgers' fullback in 2021. Wisconsin is one of the few programs that still uses a traditional fullback, and Chenal also offers some special teams ability.

Previous Seasons

  • '21 - Ben Mason, Michigan
  • '20 - Sewo Olonilua, TCU
  • '19 - Alec Ingold, Wisconsin
3. Oklahoma image Jeremiah Hall, FB, Oklahoma
Height: 6-2. Weight: 239. Arm: 31.63. Hand: 10.5.
Official 40 Time: 4.96.
Projected Round (2022): 7-FA.

4/26/22: Hall notched 32 carries for 334 yards and four touchdowns in 2021. He also took six receptions for 25 yards and a score. Hall put together a solid showing at the combine.

7/3/21: The Sooners use Hall as more of a h-back because the traditional fullback position is pretty much extinct in college football. The spread offense dominates the country, leaving few programs using a fullback. Hall was a nice outlet receiver in 2019, catching 16 passes for 169 yards and three touchdowns. Jalen Hurts' limitations as a passer held back the receiving production for a lot of Sooners in 2019.

Previous Seasons

  • '21 - Tory Carter, LSU
  • '20 - Kelton Moore, Nevada
  • '19 - Trevon Wesco, West Virginia
4. Worcester Tech image Phillip Durgin, FB, Worcester Tech
Height: 5-10. Weight: 235.
Projected 40 Time: 4.90.
Projected Round (2022): FA
View Ranking History

4/26/22: Durgin had a one-yard touchdown run in 2021. He probably won't get drafted.

7/3/21: Durgin made it onto NFL teams' preseason watch list with a projection of being undrafted. Aside from playing well in 2021, it would help him to play at an all-star game.

Previous Seasons

  • '21 - Houston Heimuli, Stanford
  • '20 - Darius Bradwell, Tulane
  • '19 - Jacques Patrick, Florida State
5. William Penn image Ben Sherman, FB, William Penn
Height: 5-10. Weight: 235.
Projected 40 Time: 4.84.
Projected Round (2022): FA
View Ranking History

4/26/22: Sherman notched 22 carries for 204 yards in 2021.

7/3/21: Sherman made it onto NFL teams' preseason watch list but was projected as a likely undrafted free agent. It would help him to make it to the Senior Bowl or East-West Shrine and impress at either all-star game.
