Follow me @walterfootball for updates.

  1. Za’Darius Smith, DE/OLB, Packers. Age: 29.
Signed with Vikings (3 years, $42 million)

Za’Darius Smith is one of the top edge rushers in the NFL when healthy. He missed all of 2021, but he should be back this upcoming season. He recorded 25 sacks in the two years prior to 2021, but was cut because of his massive cap figure.

  2. Von Miller, DE/OLB, Rams. Age: 33.
Signed with Bills (6 years, $120 million)

Von Miller is still one of the elite edge rushers in the NFL, despite his age. He turns 33 this offseason, however, so there’s a chance for regression in the near future.

  3. Haason Reddick, DE/OLB, Panthers. Age: 27.
Signed with Eagles (3 years, $45 million)

Haason Reddick has notched 23.5 sacks over the past couple of seasons (11 in 2021). He’s also a plus run defender.

  4. Harold Landry, DE/OLB, Titans. Age: 26.
    Re-signed with Titans (5 years, $87.5 million)

Harold Landry is coming off his best season as a pro; he collected 12 sacks in 2021. He turns 26 this summer, so he should continue to improve.

  5. Anthony Barr, OLB, Vikings. Age: 30.
    Signed with Cowboys

Anthony Barr is a well-rounded linebacker who excels at stopping the run. He turns 30 this offseason.

  6. Lorenzo Carter, DE/OLB, Giants. Age: 26.
    Signed with Falcons

Lorenzo Carter logged five sacks in his return from a torn Achilles. He should be healthier next year, and he’s only 26.

  7. Kyle Van Noy, OLB, Patriots. Age: 32.
    Signed with Chargers

Kyle Van Noy turns 32 this offseason, but he’s still a capable linebacker in coverage.

  8. Jacob Martin, OLB, Texans. Age: 26.
    Signed with Jets (3 years)

Jacob Martin has improved his pass-rushing ability, notching four sacks in 2021. He’s only 26, so there’s still room for growth.

  9. Uchenna Nwosu, DE/OLB, Chargers. Age: 25.
Signed with Seahawks (2 years, $20 million)

Uchenna Nwosu has flashed some ability at times throughout his 4-year career. He’s still just 25, so he has some time to keep developing.

  10. Justin Houston, DE/OLB, Ravens. Age: 33.
    Re-signed with Ravens

Justin Houston has seen his sack total drop from 11 to eight to 4.5 in the past three years. He’s still a functional pass rusher who played better than the 4.5 sacks indicate, but he’ll continue to regress now that he’s in his mid-30s.

  11. Kyler Fackrell, DE/OLB, Chargers. Age: 30. — Signed with Raiders
  12. Ogbonnia Okokonkwo, DE/OLB, Rams. Age: 27. — Signed with Texans
  13. Olasunkanmi Adeniyi, DE/OLB, Titans. Age: 24. — Re-signed with Titans (1 year)
  14. Marquis Haynes, DE/OLB, Panthers. Age: 28. — Re-signed with Panthers (2 years, $5.5 million)
  15. Brennan Scarlett, DE/OLB, Dolphins. Age: 29. — Re-signed with Dolphins (1 year)
  16. Pernell McPhee, DE/OLB, Ravens. Age: 33.
  17. Devon Kennard, DE/OLB, Cardinals. Age: 31.
  18. Dennis Gardeck, DE/OLB, Cardinals. Age: 28. — Re-signed with Cardinals (3 years, $12 million)
  19. Kylie Fitts, DE/OLB, Cardinals. Age: 27.
  20. Nick Dzubnar, DE/OLB, Titans. Age: 31.
