The Buccaneers need a DB with good size, so they go with Fitzpatrick here, who has the ability to cover the other team's top weapon. Fitzpatrick could play FS at the next level, but he also has the potential and versatility to be a good CB.

Nelson is already an All-Pro type talent, and his presence on the Offensive Line should help improve the entire unit. Jameis should have more time to make safer decisions, and any halfback should be grateful as well.

Top needs: CB, OL, EDGE, DL Another nut busted. Nelson falling to 6th I can see, but to 8th? 3rd best prospect will protect Trubisky (or someone else probably) for the next 10 years.

The Bears play it safe here with Edmunds. Edmunds brings great tackling ability and should be a starter in the NFL for years to come.

With Nelson off the board, the bears face a one-dimensional decision. What secondary prospect do they take? Given their current need at CB, and Ward's promise, they take him at 8.

The Dolphins don't have a bad linebacker core. But it's not great. And Tremaine Edmunds has a very rare combo of size and speed. In today's NFL that is a huge plus as he is not a worry at all as a 3 down linebacker that can move inside and out.

R. Smith is a coverage LB who is also a fast, instinctive tackler who could be the last piece to making this defense elite again.

After missing out on both Edmunds and Smith to lead their defense at MLB, they will take the next biggest area of need and pair the Mountainous Vita Vea alongside Johnathan Allen on their DL.

The Redskins go with another Alabama defender with Payne. He is an athletic monster who can dominate both in rushing the passer and stopping the run. He made Jonathan Allen better playing beside him in college, and he can do it again in the pros.

Redskins grab a versatile SS/FS with explosive skills. Big trade with the Chiefs getting Alex Smith. Hard to believe they gave Alex 4 years but couldn`t sign Kirk.

The Packers traded Randall to Cleveland, who was previously their #1 guy at the position. This all but ensures they will take a Corner in the first round, and Jackson is quite possibly the best one on the board.

Sure this could be a Corner or WR or Key, Davenport is raw, but you can't teach speed. Key continues to be the enigma of this draft. Why the Pack takes their Edge here is simple, it is not a deep class (unlike their other needs)

Packers grab the top CB is the 2018 class. Teaming with last years Kevin King gives the Pack a strong tandem @ the CB position.
