Shot selection gets questionable when he has to create for himself
Taking defenders off the bounce in iso situations
Driving to his left
Inconsistent outside shooter
Summary: The knock on Hardaway Jr. is that he doesn't excel with any one particular area of his game. However, he is a solid all-around player and if the former Wolverine lands on the right team, could be a solid reserve. Hardaway Jr. figures to land somewhere in the late first round, but could slip into the second.
Player Comparison: Brandon Rush. Like Rush, Hardaway Jr. doesn't blow anyone away with his game but has proven to be a solid role player in the right situation. Rush has shown more consistency with his 3-point shooting than Hardaway Jr., and if Tim's kid is going to have a steady NBA career, becoming more reliable with his shooting stroke will help him possibly carve out a career similar to Rush's.
