2010 NFL Draft Pro Day Results

Pro Day Dates: March 28, 2010

Miami

Dedrick Epps, TE, Miami
Height: 6-4. Weight: 246.
Projected 40 Time: 4.64.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.70.
Benchx225: 19. Vertical: 33. Arm: 33 1/9.
Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

1/21/10: Had just 19 catches for 247 yards and three touchdowns as a senior. Mostly a blocker.

10/10/09: Through four games, Dedrick Epps has 10 catches for 134 yards and two scores.

2/8/09: In addition to his solid blocking, Dedrick Epps had 22 receptions, 304 yards and two touchdowns in 2008.

7/27/08: Dedrick Epps has just eight receptions in his collegiate career, but he’s a pretty solid blocker.

Jason Fox, OT, Miami
Height: 6-7. Weight: 305.
Projected 40 Time: 5.10.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.45.
Benchx225: 25. Arm: 34 1/2.
Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

3/28/10: Pulled his hamstring during the Pro Day 40, which impacted his time.

1/18/10: There’s a lot of concern here. First, Jason Fox just had knee surgery. Second, he missed the final game of the regular season with an irregular heartbeat. Teams may shy away from this suddenly risky prospect.

10/24/09: Anchoring upstart Miami’s offensive line. Projects as a left tackle.

2/9/09: Missed some time with a leg injury as a junior.

7/27/08: An athletic left tackle who has been a starter for Miami ever since he arrived on campus.

Jimmy Graham, TE, Miami
Height: 6-6. Weight: 262.
Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
Combine 40 Time: 4.56.
Benchx225: 15. Vertical: 38. Arm: 35.
Projected Round (2010): 2-3.

3/28/10: Looked great in the positional drills at his Pro Day. He could be taken in Round 2.

2/28/10: Jimmy Graham didn’t disappoint in the 40 (4.56) and definitely looked like a natural tight end in the drills. Some team will take a chance on him in Rounds 3-4.

1/21/10: A forward on the Miami basketball team, Jimmy Graham is a project but has a ton of upside and athleticism. He caught 17 passes for 213 yards and five touchdowns in his only year playing football.

Javarris James, RB, Miami
Height: 6-0. Weight: 215.
Projected 40 Time: 4.54.
Combine 40 Time: 4.53.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.63.
Benchx225: 21. Vertical: 36. Broad: 9-6.
Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

1/16/10: Javarris James carried the ball only 103 times as a senior, rushing for 492 yards and six touchdowns. He also garnered 13 receptions.

10/10/09: Javarris James actually looks like a real running back again. Through four games, James has 293 rushing yards and six receptions for 51 yards. He has a 5.4 YPC and three touchdowns.

2/6/09: Jarvarris James missed some time with an ankle injury in 2008. He rushed for just 286 yards and four scores.

5/21/08: After a decent 2006 campaign, Javarris James struggled last year, gaining just 3.7 yards per carry. He was hindered by inconsistency; for every 18-carry, 103-yard performance against N.C. State, there was a 10-carry, 7-yard blunder versus Virginia Tech.

2007: The cousin of Edgerrin James, Javarris led the Hurricanes in rushing as a freshman, totaling 802 on the ground and 200 through the air.

Darryl Sharpton, ILB, Miami
Height: 6-0. Weight: 230.
Projected 40 Time: 4.67.
Combine 40 Time: 4.73.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.74.
Benchx225: 24. Vertical: 31.
Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

1/8/10: An All-ACC Second Team member, Darryl Sharpton collected 106 tackles and 8.5 TFL.

2/19/09: Unlike last year, Darryl Sharpton stayed healthy all year. He had 58 tackles, six TFL and 1.5 sacks.

5/11/08: Struggled with injuries in 2007 and looked out of place when he returned to the lineup.

2007: Darryl Sharpton, who was moved into the starting lineup as a freshman, maintains incredible speed at his size. If he can run in the 4.4s at the Combine, he’ll skyrocket even further up this chart.

Wake Forest

Brandon Ghee, CB, Wake Forest Scouting Report
Height: 6-0. Weight: 191.
Projected 40 Time: 4.40.
Combine 40 Time: 4.37.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Benchx225: 15. Broad: 10-2.
Projected Round (2010): 2-3.

3/3/10: Brandon Ghee measured in a bit taller than he was listed (6-0 instead of 5-11) and then ran a great 40 (4.37). There’s a good chance he goes in Round 2.

1/27/10: Numerous corners are shining at the Senior Bowl, and one of them is Brandon Ghee, who may have vaulted himself into late first-round consideration. Details available in the 2010 Senior Bowl section.

1/9/10: Brandon Ghee broke up eight passes in 2009. In a matchup against Demaryius Thomas, Ghee completely shut the athletic receiver down.

3/7/09: Though he missed two games with an ankle injury, Brandon Ghee still managed 35 tackles, seven passes broken up and 3.5 TFL.

Boo Robinson, DT, Wake Forest
Height: 6-1. Weight: 295.
Projected 40 Time: 5.11.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.00.
Benchx225: 33. Vertical: 27.5.
Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

1/24/10: Lost a ton of weight over the years, so you know he has a solid work ethic. Unfortunately, his numbers (37 tackles, 2.5 TFL, 0.5 sacks) don’t translate.

2/14/09: A monstrous nose tackle who compiled six TFL and five sacks. Somehow just an All-ACC honorable mention.

8/1/08: Boo Robinson started every game for Wake Forest in 2007. He had 23 tackles.

Murray State

Austen Lane, DE, Murray State
Height: 6-6. Weight: 274.
Projected 40 Time: 4.68.
Combine 40 Time: 4.83.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.89.
Benchx225: 20. Vertical: .
Projected Round (2010): 3-4.

1/22/10: A Division 1-AA AP All-America first-teamer, Austen Lane had 19.5 TFL and 11 sacks in his senior year. He’s primarily a left defensive end despite reports to the contrary.

11/14/09: Will draw major attention during the draft preseason; Austen Lane has 11 sacks on the year for 1-AA Murray State.
