2010 NFL Draft Pro Day Results

Pro Day Dates: March 25, 2010

Mississippi State

Jamar Chaney, ILB, Mississippi State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 240.
Projected 40 Time: 4.64.
Combine 40 Time: 4.51.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.56.
Benchx225: 26. Vertical: 39.
Projected Round (2010): 2-3.

3/2/10: Jamar Chaney quietly pieced together a great Combine, notching a 4.51 40 (fastest for any linebacker), a 39-inch vertical and 26 reps of 225.

1/8/10: Capable of playing most linebacker spots, Jamar Chaney recorded 90 tackles, 4.5 TFL and two sacks as a senior.

2/19/09: Missed almost all of the 2008 season with a leg injury. Started 27 of the previous 29 games before he got hurt.

Anthony Dixon, RB, Mississippi State
Height: 6-1. Weight: 233.
Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
Combine 40 Time: 4.65.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.61.
Benchx225: 15. Vertical: 40. Broad: 10-1.
Projected Round (2010): 2-4.

1/16/10: Finished with 1,391 yards and 12 touchdowns on a 5.4 average. Also had 18 catches for 123 more yards.

11/7/09: A powerful runner having a great year, Anthony Dixon has rushed for 1,001 yards and nine touchdowns in eight games. He can also catch the ball out of the backfield.

2/6/09: Anthony Dixon compiled 869 yards and seven touchdowns as a junior. He also registered 20 catches for 117 yards and two more scores.

7/25/08: Anthony Dixon is a huge power back who moves pretty well at his impressive size. He rushed for 1,066 yards and 14 touchdowns (3.7 YPC) and also caught 14 passes out of the backfield. As long as he’s not super slow at the combine, he’ll be a mid-round pick.

West Virginia

Alric Arnett, WR, West Virginia
Height: 6-2. Weight: 191.
Projected 40 Time: 4.52.
Combine 40 Time: 4.52.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.53.
Vertical: 40. Broad: 10-2.
Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

1/19/10: Alric Arnett had his best collegiate year as a senior, finishing with 43 grabs for 586 yards and three touchdowns.

Jarrett Brown, QB, West Virginia Scouting Report
Height: 6-3. Weight: 224.
Projected 40 Time: 4.57.
Combine 40 Time: 4.54.
Pro Day 40 Time: DNP.
Hand: 10.
Projected Round (2010): 2-3.

3/25/10: Aside from a 36.5-inch vertical, only did quarterback drills at his Pro Day.

1/31/10: I think we all saw what we expected out of Jarrett Brown; flashes of brilliance at times, but also mistakes that indicate how raw he is. On one pass, Brown didn’t set his feet and overthrew an open receiver by a mile. Brown was also twice guilty of not realizing that this game was being played with the NFL’s down-by-contact rule. I understand missing it once, but a second time? I know this isn’t a big deal, but it just might be an indication of Brown’s inability to process information. Just something to look out for.

1/29/10: Jarrett Brown was the most consistent quarterback in Mobile. Details available in the 2010 Senior Bowl section.

1/15/10: There’s some upside here, but Jarrett Brown threw only 11 touchdowns to nine picks on just a 7.2 YPA as a senior. He completed 63.2 percent of his passes.

11/7/09: Some team will fall in love with Jarrett Brown’s upside, but his decision-making and ability to read defenses is pretty questionable.

Selvish Capers, OT, West Virginia
Height: 6-5. Weight: 306.
Projected 40 Time: 4.91.
Combine 40 Time: 5.14.
Pro Day 40 Time: 5.08.
Benchx225: 22. Arm: 34.
Projected Round (2010): 4-5.

2/13/10: Selvish Capers struggled in the Senior Bowl. He’s a long-term project.

1/26/10: Selvish Capers weighed in at 304 pounds – 15 above his listing. There aren’t many sub-300-pound starting offensive tackles, so this boosts Capers’ stock a bit.

1/18/10: An All-ACC second-teamer, Selvish Capers is a raw, but athletic left tackle. He’s a project.

10/24/09: A project of a left tackle, though Al Davis may draft him in Rounds 2-4.

11/1/08: Perfect for the zone-blocking scheme, Selvish Capers’ athleticism will turn some heads at the Combine.

UNLV

Jason Beauchamp, DE/OLB, UNLV
Height: 6-3. Weight: 239.
Projected 40 Time: 4.77.
Combine 40 Time: 4.82.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.84.
Benchx225: 28. Vertical: 39.5.
Projected Round (2010): 7-FA.

1/8/10: Jason Beauchamp was involved much more in the pass rush in his senior season at UNLV. He had 95 tackles, 12 TFL and 6.5 sacks. His small frame will hurt him.

2/16/09: Jason Beauchamp recorded 127 tackles, six TFL, two sacks and three passes broken up. He was an All-Mountain West second-teamer.

Ryan Wolfe, WR, UNLV
Height: 6-1. Weight: 198.
Projected 40 Time: 4.60.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.88.
Vertical: 33.5. Broad: 9-10.
Projected Round (2010): FA.

3/25/10: Pulled a hamstring during his Pro Day 40 run.

1/19/10: Broke his foot toward the end of the season, but still managed 74 catches, 760 yards and two scores.

2/7/09: An All-Mountain West First Team qualifier, Ryan Wolfe compiled 87 receptions, 1,037 yards and six touchdowns.

7/26/08: Ryan Wolfe turned some heads with a 55-catch, 911-yard freshman campaign in 2006. His stats regressed a bit in 2007 (66 receptions, 784 yards) but you can blame that on uncertainty at the quarterback position.

Missouri State

Clay Harbor, TE, Missouri State
Height: 6-3. Weight: 252.
Projected 40 Time: 4.71.
Combine 40 Time: 4.69.
Pro Day 40 Time: 4.58.
Benchx225: 30. Vertical: 40. Arm: 32 5/8.
Projected Round (2010): 5-6.

3/25/10: Clay Harbor solidified his early- to mid-Day 3 status by running a 4.58 at Missouri State’s Pro Day.

1/21/10: An H-back prospect, Clay Harbor notched 59 catches for 729 yards and four scores.

2/8/09: Thanks to 40 receptions and 457 yards, Clay Harbor was voted to the Division 1-AA All-America Second Team.

7/27/08: Clay Harbor was on the All-Division I-AA third team, as he caught 45 passes for 647 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore.
