Why the Redskins Should Be Called the Redskins

There’s been a small segment of the American population that has been hurt by the Redskins team name. These helpless individuals have lost sleep over this name because it’s so offensive to them. They’ve cried, as they’ve tossed and turned in bed each night. How could this Redskin team name persist for so long? When would the agony stop?

This small segment of the United States population finally heard good news on this matter prior to the start of the 2020 season. The Redskin team name would be defunct. The Washington football team would now be called the, umm, Washington Football Team. Sure, the new name lacked any sort of imagination or thought, but that wasn’t important. The significant thing was that these people would no longer have to be depressed about the Redskin team name. It was finally over. Their ancestors could finally sleep peacefully.

This small segment of the country’s population is, of course, the blue checkmarks on Twitter.

The blue checks have long agonized over the Redskin team name, citing how offensive it is. Some deemed it so offensive to American Indians that they even refused to call the Redskins by their name before the official change. They thought they were being good people by doing this. By not saying “Redskins,” they were signaling that they are better than you. “How dare you call them the Redskins?” they said. “You’re offending Native Americans. You’re a bad person. You will never be as good of a person as me until you conform and stop calling them the Redskins.”

And thus, the Redskins team name ceased to exist in the NFL. Thanks to FedEx and Nike’s influence, Redskins owner Daniel Snyder was forced to make the name change. The blue checks rejoiced.

And yet, little did they know that by changing the Redskins team name, they were actually offending those they were white knighting.

You see, blue checks on Twitter are some of the dumbest people in the world. We were reminded of this when these imbeciles thought President Donald Trump was referring to the animal when saying that coyotes brought immigrant children across the southern border:

The blue checks haven’t been smart about the Redskins controversy either. By banning the name from the NFL, they’ve offended 90 percent of American Indians in the United States.

Don’t believe me? The Washington Post – not a right-leaning publication by any means – conducted a survey in 2016, asking American Indians if they thought “Redskins” was offensive. Ninety percent of American Indians said no.

Not only do 90 percent of American Indians not find the name “Redskins” offensive; they like the name so much that four American Indian high schools in the United States have “Redskins” as their mascot!

One of the four high schools, a Navajo school in Arizona, openly defended the Redskins team name against the oppressive blue checks.

“Nearly everyone on the field and in the bleachers belongs to the Navajo Nation,” the author wrote. “Most of the people in Red Mesa not only reject claims that their team’s nickname is a slur, they have emerged as a potent symbol in the heated debate over the name of the more widely known Redskins.” The Superintendent, a member of the Navajo Nation, went a step further.

“I dont find it derogatory,” he said. “It’s a source of pride.”

Indeed. There are some misconceptions that the term “Redskins” is offensive. It’s not. “Redskins” was a code name that American Indians used in the French-Indian war. It was never used as a wide-spread derogatory term. It’s a great piece of history for American Indians. That’s why most of them support it, and that’s why it’s the mascot at four of their high schools.

The blue checks in the media do not understand this. They are such simpletons that they refuse to believe that “Redskins” can be a positive term. They refuse to do the research, instead opting to whine and scream on Twitter like the spoiled rich kids they are until they get their way. They’re disgusting.

Not only are they disgusting; I would argue that they are the true racists. If 90 percent of American Indians aren’t offended by “Redskins,” then why are the blue checks offended? Who are they to speak for American Indians? What gives them the right to do so?

I’ve thought about these questions, and I’ve come to one conclusion: The blue checks hate American Indians. That’s why they want a positive symbol of their heritage deleted forever. That’s why they don’t want a picture of an American Indian anywhere.

This, of course, is nothing new for the blue checks. They are open white supremacists per their actions. They white knight every single racial group because they believe these groups are too weak and fragile to defend themselves, when that’s far from the truth. These racial groups don’t want or need their help, and yet the white-knight blue checks insist that they do. They believe they are so much better than these minority groups that they can speak for them.

American Indians didn’t want the blue checks’ help. Ninety percent of them said as much. And yet, the blue checks were so eager to erase their heritage. It’s horrible how racist that is.

I’m not like these despicable blue checks. I’m not racist against American Indians like they are. This is why I will continue to refer to Washington’s NFL franchise as the Redskins.
