NFL Week 8 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy QB rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Chet's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a Traditional scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs (vs. Broncos)- 30 Points
330 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs, 50 Rushing Yards.
Patrick Mahomes didn't have his best game in Denver several weeks ago. Things will be easier versus the Broncos in Arrowhead.

  2. Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers (at Rams)- 27 Points
380 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 20 Rushing Yards.
This may seem like a tough matchup, but the Rams' secondary is banged up, and Aaron Rodgers had a week to heal.

  3. Drew Brees, QB, Saints (at Vikings)- 24 Points
300 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs.
The Vikings have linebackers who can't cover and a banged-up secondary. Drew Brees should have a great game.

  4. Jared Goff, QB, Rams (vs. Packers)- 23 Points
330 Passing Yards, 3 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
Jared Goff has a nice matchup again, though he won't have his favorite receiver once more.

  5. Kirk Cousins, QB, Vikings (vs. Saints)- 23 Points
330 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 20 Rushing Yards.
Kirk Cousins should be able to throw all over the Saints' secondary.

  6. Andrew Luck, QB, Colts (at Raiders)- 21 Points
370 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 20 Rushing Yards.
Andrew Luck gets to go against a woeful defense with his top weapon back, so he's looking good for Week 8.

  7. Cam Newton, QB, Panthers (vs. Ravens)- 21 Points
220 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 50 Rushing Yards, 1 TD.
Cam Newton gets a tougher matchup this week, but his rushing ability will make him a viable fantasy option.

  8. Tom Brady, QB, Patriots (at Bills)- 21 Points
330 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs.
The danger with Tom Brady this week is that like the Colts in Week 7, his team might be up by so much that he doesn't have to throw in the second half.

  9. Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks (at Lions)- 21 Points
260 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 50 Rushing Yards.
The Lions' defense is woeful, so Russell Wilson figures to have a great performance.

  10. Andy Dalton, QB, Bengals (vs. Bucs)- 20 Points
290 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 10 Rushing Yards.
Andy Dalton has a great matchup, but he hasn't been the same since losing Tyler Eifert.

  11. Carson Wentz, QB, Eagles (at Jaguars)- 19 Points
300 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 20 Rushing Yards.
Jacksonville's defense will make things difficult for Carson Wentz, but he's still a top option.

  12. Matthew Stafford, QB, Lions (vs. Seahawks)- 19 Points
300 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 10 Rushing Yards.
Matthew Stafford should stay hot against the Legion of Boom-less Seahawks.

  13. Jameis Winston, QB, Bucs (at Bengals)- 18 Points
360 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs.
Patrick Mahomes just torched the Bengals, but Jameis Winston is obviously not Patrick Mahomes.

  14. Derek Carr, QB, Raiders (vs. Colts)- 18 Points
300 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
Derek Carr's offensive line should be in better shape following the bye, so he's not a bad option against Indianapolis' pedestrian defense.

  15. Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Steelers (vs. Browns)- 18 Points
310 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT.
The Browns are solid against the pass, but Ben Roethlisberger is still a viable option.

  16. Baker Mayfield, QB, Browns (at Steelers)- 17 Points
260 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 1 INT, 10 Rushing Yards.
Baker Mayfield could be a decent streaming option against Pittsburgh's poor defense.

  17. Blake Bortles, QB, Jaguars (vs. Eagles)- 17 Points
270 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 50 Rushing Yards.

  18. Joe Flacco, QB, Ravens (at Panthers)- 17 Points
330 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD.

  19. Alex Smith, QB, Redskins (at Giants)- 17 Points
310 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 40 Rushing Yards.

  20. Case Keenum, QB, Broncos (at Chiefs)- 15 Points
300 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 2 INTs, 30 Rushing Yards.

  21. Eli Manning, QB, Giants (vs. Redskins)- 15 Points
290 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs.
This is a big step up for Eli Manning as far as a matchup is concerned.

  22. Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans (vs. Dolphins)- 15 Points
240 Passing Yards, 2 Pass TDs, 2 INTs, 30 Rushing Yards.
Deshaun Watson is so injured he can't even take a plane ride right now.

  23. Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Bears (vs. Jets)- 14 Points
270 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 20 Rushing Yards.

  24. Josh Rosen, QB, Cardinals (vs. 49ers)- 13 Points
290 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT.

  25. Sam Darnold, QB, Jets (at Bears)- 13 Points
260 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT, 10 Rushing Yards.

  26. C.J. Beathard, QB, 49ers (at Cardinals)- 10 Points
210 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 1 INT.

  27. Brock Osweiler, QB, Dolphins (at Texans)- 10 Points
260 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 2 INTs.

  28. Derek Anderson, QB, Bills (vs. Patriots)- 5 Points
190 Passing Yards, 1 Pass TD, 3 INTs.

  29. Philip Rivers, QB, Chargers (vs. BYE)- 0 Points

  30. Dak Prescott, QB, Cowboys (vs. BYE)- 0 Points

  31. Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons (vs. BYE)- 0 Points

  32. Marcus Mariota, QB, Titans (vs. BYE)- 0 Points
