NCAA Football Weekly Predictions Week 14 Note: As I did in the NFL, I bombed in college. I went 5-4, but lost my top three plays.
By the way, I've challenged
Scott Horn over at The Joker Report to see who's better at picking games. We'll each have about 10 selections
for the week. Winner places a text ad for the other for an entire week. For legality purposes, this Web site does not promote or advocate gambling.
Virginia Tech (10-2) vs. Boston College (10-2) Line: Virginia Tech by 4.5. Saturday, 1:00 ET It's really difficult to beat a team twice in the same college football season when both squads are evenly matched. Virginia Tech's been on fire recently, so I like them to avenge their last-second loss to Matt Ryan. Prediction: Virginia Tech 24, Boston College 17 Virginia Tech -4.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100 Virginia Tech 30, Boston College 16
Louisiana Tech (5-6) at Nevada (5-6) Line: Nevada by 7.5. Saturday, 4:00 ET I love shady line movement. Nevada opened as an 8.5-point favorite, but has since dropped to 7.5. The odd thing is, 72 percent of the money in Vegas is on the host. Prediction: Louisiana Tech 37, Nevada 27 Louisiana Tech +7.5 (3 Units - Money Pick) -- Incorrect; -$330 Nevada 49, Louisiana Tech 10
UCLA (6-5) at USC (9-2) Line: USC by 20. Saturday, 4:30 ET I don't make it a business to take 20-point favorites every week, but I like USC in this spot. Not only are they on fire and ripping everyone to shreds, they happen to be a favorite that is seeing the line match its action. The public is on the Trojans, so the spread has actually risen from 16.5 to 20. Prediction: USC 44, UCLA 17 USC -20 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110 USC 24, UCLA 7
Arizona (5-6) at Arizona State (9-2) Line: Arizona State by 6.5. Saturday, 8:00 ET Despite there being tons of action on Arizona State, this line is dropping faster than Jennifer Love Hewitt's career. The Sun Devils opened -7.5 in Pinnacle, but are now down to -6.5. You figure it out. Prediction: Arizona State 27, Arizona 24 Arizona +6.5 (3 Units - Money Pick) -- Correct; +$300 Arizona State 20, Arizona 17
Oklahoma (10-2) vs. Missouri (11-1) Line: Oklahoma by 3. Saturday, 8:00 ET Missouri has to feel pretty disrespected. It just knocked off the No. 2 team in the nation, yet happens to be an underdog against a squad with a worse record? The Tigers would have beaten the Sooners the first time around if it weren't for careless turnovers. I think Missouri gets it done this time. Prediction: Missouri 38, Oklahoma 34 Missouri +3 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110 Oklahoma 38, Missouri 17 Second-Half Bets Check back at halftime to see if I have any plays posted. All picks 2 Units, unless noted. Back to WalterFootball.com Home Go to my 2008 NFL Mock Draft
