NFL Week 8 Fantasy Football Rankings

To differentiate between all the "Start 'Ems" on my Fantasy Football Start Em, Sit Em page, you can check out the Weekly Fantasy Football Rankings, so you can figure out whom to start between Player X and Player Y.

Below are my fantasy TE rankings and a set of links for my positional Weekly NFL Fantasy Football Rankings. Keep in mind that this list is for this week only; not the entire rest of the season. If you don't like my rankings, check out Chet's fantasy football rankings.

The rankings are based on a PPR scoring system. Each player has Walterfootball.com's projected stats and standard scoring points.

But who do I start...

Updated 10/23 - Follow @walterfootball for updates.
  1. Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs (vs. Broncos)- 22 Points
    7 Catches, 90 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Broncos haven't stopped tight ends well in years.

  2. David Njoku, TE, Browns (at Steelers)- 18 Points
    5 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Tight ends have killed the Steelers all year.

  3. Jimmy Graham, TE, Packers (at Rams)- 17 Points
    4 Catches, 70 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Rams have struggled against tight ends all year.

  4. O.J. Howard, TE, Bucs (at Bengals)- 16 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Bengals can't cover tight ends without Nick Vigil.

  5. Eric Ebron, TE, Colts (at Raiders)- 16 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Raiders can't defend tight ends at all.

  6. Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles (at Jaguars)- 16 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
Zach Ertz has a tougher matchup this week, but you can't sit him, as he's just way too talented.

  7. Evan Engram, TE, Giants (vs. Redskins)- 16 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Redskins aren't great versus tight ends, so Evan Engram should have a solid fantasy performance.

  8. Jared Cook, TE, Raiders (vs. Colts)- 16 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Colts struggle against tight ends, so fire up Jared Cook again.

  9. Jordan Reed, TE, Redskins (at Giants)- 16 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Giants haven't defended tight ends well in years.

  10. Rob Gronkowski, TE, Patriots (at Bills)- 14 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
    Status unknown.

  11. Vance McDonald, TE, Steelers (vs. Browns)- 14 Points
    6 Catches, 80 Receiving Yards.
The Browns have struggled against tight ends this year.

  12. C.J. Uzomah, TE, Bengals (vs. Bucs)- 13 Points
    3 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards, 1 TD.
The Buccaneers struggle against tight ends.

  13. George Kittle, TE, 49ers (at Cardinals)- 10 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.
George Kittle is no longer a consistent fantasy option with Jimmy Garoppolo out. He has a tough matchup this week.

  14. Ricky Seals-Jones, TE, Cardinals (vs. 49ers)- 10 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  15. Mike Gesicki, TE, Dolphins (at Texans)- 10 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  16. Ben Watson, TE, Saints (at Vikings)- 10 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.

  17. Kyle Rudolph, TE, Vikings (vs. Saints)- 10 Points
    4 Catches, 60 Receiving Yards.
Kyle Rudolph has just a middling matchup this week.

  18. Trey Burton, TE, Bears (vs. Jets)- 8 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
The Jets stop tight ends well, so I wouldn't expect Trey Burton to repeat his Week 7 performance.

  19. Chris Herndon, TE, Jets (at Bears)- 8 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
The Bears usually stop tight ends well. I like Chris Herndon, but this isn't a good matchup for him.

  20. Greg Olsen, TE, Panthers (vs. Ravens)- 8 Points
    3 Catches, 50 Receiving Yards.
Greg Olsen's matchup is difficult against Baltimore's great defense.

  21. Jack Doyle, TE, Colts (at Raiders)- 7 Points
    3 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.
    Status unknown.

  22. Dallas Goedert, TE, Eagles (at Jaguars)- 7 Points
    3 Catches, 40 Receiving Yards.

  23. Charles Clay, TE, Bills (vs. Patriots)- 5 Points
    2 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  24. Hayden Hurst, TE, Ravens (at Panthers)- 5 Points
    2 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  25. Vernon Davis, TE, Redskins (at Giants)- 5 Points
    2 Catches, 30 Receiving Yards.

  26. Jeff Heuerman, TE, Broncos (at Chiefs)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  27. Cameron Brate, TE, Bucs (at Bengals)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  28. David Grinnage, TE, Jaguars (vs. Eagles)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  29. Gerald Everett, TE, Rams (vs. Packers)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  30. Tyler Higbee, TE, Rams (vs. Packers)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  31. Nick Vannett, TE, Seahawks (at Lions)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  32. Ryan Griffin, TE, Texans (vs. Dolphins)- 4 Points
    2 Catches, 20 Receiving Yards.

  33. Luke Willson, TE, Lions (vs. Seahawks)- 2 Points
    1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  34. Ian Thomas, TE, Panthers (vs. Ravens)- 2 Points
    1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  35. Dwayne Allen, TE, Patriots (at Bills)- 2 Points
    1 Catch, 10 Receiving Yards.

  36. Tyler Kroft, TE, Bengals (vs. Bucs)- 0 Points

  37. Antonio Gates, TE, Chargers (vs. BYE)- 0 Points

  38. Geoff Swaim, TE, Cowboys (vs. BYE)- 0 Points

  39. Blake Jarwin, TE, Cowboys (vs. BYE)- 0 Points

  40. Austin Hooper, TE, Falcons (vs. BYE)- 0 Points
