@Pain: I posted on Walters baseball picks(left side of this page, click on it) there a few days ago I posted my 5 team 14 point teaser, that include of course the Patriots. FYI, if you do look this up, you will see that I have two more games to go, to win this teaser. BTW, has anyone ever told you that you post like "smiegel" in the Lord Of The Ring Movies?? Merry Christmas to you also.

@Walter: You the man!! I thought you were a bit insane about making this your play of the month, but you got it!! To be sure it probably didn't hurt that Matt Light did not play in this one, and his replacement Mankins got hurt during the second offensive series, never to return. But right is right and you got it buddy!! FYI, as I posted before, I put Pats in a 14 point teaser and I'm more than halfway home on that 5 team teaser. Need Packers+1 and Saints +7.5 to seal the deal. GLTA.

I think I like Miami. Walter makes a good point about Brady's inability to cover large spreads at home. If I was teasing the game (and I probably will) I'd go with the Dolphins and push them to +16.5.

Kind of disagree with this point though:

Here are the margins of all Dolphin at Patriot contests since the Brady-Bill Belichick era began: NE by 7, NE by 3, NE by 12, NE by 14 (-12.5 favorite), MIA by 2, NE by 10, NE by 21 (-22 favorite), MIA by 25, NE by 10, NE by 31 (aforementioned quit game). As you can see, most of these games were close.

The Pats need to win by 10 on Saturday to cover the spread. In the ten games Walter listed, they won by 10 or more in 6 of them. Not sure then that it's really all that close. They won by less than 10 points in 2 games, with Miami winning the other 2. 8 of 10 then are NE wins straight up, with 6 of the 8 by 10 or more.

I agree with walt on this one ! Pats are due for a bit of a let down game after there much hyped broncos game last week. So I don't see them being as fired up for the fins this week. 31-27 Pats

Everyone knows Patriots can score above 30 and everyone knows the Patriots can give up 30. Heres my prediction.

Walter, Walter, Walter, again you are going to screw around with a super 5 quarterback. Not just a super 5 QB, but one at home and who is playing on a AFC top team record of 11 and 3. Yes, Pats defense blows, but Patriots must know to a man, that they need home field throughout to have a shot. Your giving Miami way to much credit here, especially on this matchup. With all that said, I'm going to be safe and get the Patriots under -3 with a teaser. I'm going to say Pats 34. Miami 24.

If your a teaser player, this game has to be your number one start off point. Tease the Patriots under -3 and enjoy. Pats now lead the AFC for homefield throughout, they CAN NOT afford to let this home field advantage slip away. Brady and that offense Go APE SH T!!! Pats 37 Miami 23.
