Joe Gibbs has resigned as head coach of the Redskins so he could pursue his dream of once again watching cars drive in circles.
Warren Sapp has announced his retirement. Sapp, 35, played 13 seasons and qualified for seven Pro Bowls.
Brian Billick and Cam Cameron were fired by the Ravens and Dolphins, respectively. Billick can now retire to his Vermont country home with his lovely wife, Kyle Boller, Cameron, meanwhile, no longer has to worry about the stress of coaching a fourth preseason game and deciding whom to cut at the same time.
Randy Mueller was also fired. Golly gee whiz geepers!
Congratulations to the Patriots, who became the first team to go 16-0 in the regular season in NFL history.
The Dolphins have hired Bill Parcells, who will undoubtedly yell and scream, and hurt some players' feelings.
Redskins safety Sean Taylor, who was shot Monday morning when a burglar broke into his house, died after sustaining a massive loss of blood. Taylor, who had
five interceptions on the year, was a Pro Bowler and one of the leaders of the team. He was 24.

The Buccaneers acquired Michael Bennett from the Chiefs for an undisclosed 2008 or 2009 draft selection.
The Browns traded Charlie Frye to the Seahawks for an undisclosed draft pick.

Bill Walsh, former coach of the San Francisco 49ers and creator of the West Coast offense, died Monday of leukemia. He was 75.

while jogging on Thursday, July 26. Prosser was 56.
Colts left tackle Tarik Glenn apparently likes doing impressions of Chiefs offensive linemen. Glenn, one of the top tackles in the league, has announced
his retirement, according to the Indianapolis Star.
