  1. Cincinnati Bengals: Zack Baun, LB, Wisconsin
The Bengals would love for someone unexpected to fall to them at No. 33. If that doesn’t happen, Zack Baun is expected to be the target.

Pick change; previously Isaiah Wilson, OT

  2. Indianapolis Colts: Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
The Colts will need to add a receiver to go along with T.Y. Hilton and Parris Campbell.

  3. Detroit Lions: Jonathan Taylor, RB, Wisconsin
Kerryon Johnson hasn’t been able to stay healthy, so I expect Detroit to target a running back in the opening half of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Jonathan Taylor showed surprising athleticism at the combine, which helped mitigate some of the concerns teams have with the workload he handled at Wisconsin.

Pick change; previously Zack Baun, LB

  4. New York Giants: Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU
The Giants could pursue a receiver atop Round 2, as they want to give Daniel Jones another weapon.

Jalen Reagor is a blazing-fast receiver who can go the distance whenever he touches the ball.

    *** OTHER 2020 NFL DRAFT POSSIBILITIES: ***

    1. Cesar Ruiz, C/G – I don’t do this for the second round, but I just wanted to note that Cesar Ruiz is being discussed as a target at this pick.

Pick change; previously Chase Claypool, WR

  5. Los Angeles Chargers: Cam Akers, RB, Florida State
Austin Ekeler can’t handle a full workload, so the Chargers are expected to target a running back early in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously A.J. Terrell, CB

  6. Carolina Panthers: Jordyn Brooks, LB, Texas Tech
The Panthers must find a replacement for Luke Kuechly early in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Jordyn Brooks is a fast and athletic linebacker, but his instincts are lacking.

  7. Miami Dolphins: D’Andre Swift, RB, Georgia
The Dolphins need to add tons of talent around their new quarterback to give him a fighting chance. They have so many holes on offense that almost every position makes sense.

D’Andre Swift lives up to his name concerning that attribute, but vision is his best strength.

  8. Houston Texans: A.J. Epenesa, DE/OLB, Iowa
The Texans need to improve their offensive line, but they also must upgrade their pass rush. They could do that with this pick unless Bill O’Brien trades it for Rex Burkhead.

A.J. Epenesa could drop a bit because of his pedestrian combine performance, but this should still be considered a steal.

  9. New Orleans Saints: Grant Delpit, S, LSU
The Saints acquired this pick, a 2021 second-rounder and perhaps something else in my projected trade with the Browns for the No. 24 selection. Someone the Saints can target here is Grant Delpit. They signed Malcolm Jenkins this offseason, but safety is still a need with Jenkins being able to play in the slot.

Grant Delpit is an exceptional talent who was once considered a top-10 lock, but struggled in 2019.

Pick change; previously Grant Delpit, S (CLE)

  10. Jacksonville Jaguars: Noah Igbinoghene, CB, Auburn
Given their cornerback issues, the Jaguars are expected to target two players at the position early in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Noah Igbinoghene is a raw cornerback, as he’s transitioning from receiver. However, team sources told Charlie that Igbinoghene impressed them during the season, so perhaps he can jump into the first round.

Pick change; previously Yetur Gross-Matos, DE

  11. Chicago Bears: Jeremy Chinn, S, Southern Illinois
The Bears lost Ha Ha Clinton-Dix to free agency, so they’ll need to obtain a new safety.

Jeremy Chinn has generated some first-round buzz, as Charlie Campbell discussed.

  12. Indianapolis Colts: Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah
The Colts lost Pierre Desir this offseason, and yet they already needed cornerback help. They’ll need to address this position in the second round.

Jaylon Johnson has nice size (6-0, 190) and ball skills. He had a great 2018 campaign.

Pick change; previously Noah Igbinoghene, CB

  13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, LSU
Aside from right tackle, the primary weakness on Tampa Bay’s offense is running back, so the team could use an early-round choice on the position.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is a tough runner who was also a receptions monster.

  14. Denver Broncos: Marlon Davidson, DE/DT, Auburn
The Broncos have a great front seven, but they could stand to replace Derek Wolfe.

Pick change; previously Jalen Reagor, WR

  15. Arizona Cardinals: Antoine Winfield Jr., S, Minnesota
This is the pick the Cardinals acquired in the first-round trade I projected. Arizona could use this selection to improve its secondary. In fact, the Cardinals could easily take Xavier McKinney at No. 16.

Pick change; previously Jaylon Johnson, CB

  16. New York Jets: Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
The Jets haven’t found any weapons for Sam Darnold yet, so they’ll need to focus on doing so during the draft.

Tee Higgins is a matchup nightmare receiver with his incredible size (6-4, 200), but didn’t run at the combine because he thought he would test poorly.

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jalen Hurts, QB, Oklahoma
Mason Rudolph was so bad that he was benched. The Steelers will be looking for a new successor for Ben Roethlisberger unless Duck Hodges continues to play well.

Jalen Hurts has the obvious limitations, plus he’s a one-read quarterback, which will result in plenty of sacks.

Pick change; previously Cam Akers, RB

  18. Chicago Bears: Robert Hunt, OT/G, Louisiana-Lafayette
The Bears’ offensive line took a huge hit last year, which was the primary reason for their regression. They’ll need to address their blocking.

  19. Dallas Cowboys: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama
The Cowboys could select a cornerback as early as Round 1, given how big the need is.

Trevon Diggs, younger brother of Vikings receiver Stefon Diggs, began as a receiver at Alabama, but was tremendous last season at cornerback before suffering a foot injury.

  20. Los Angeles Rams: Ross Blacklock, DT, TCU
The Rams never replaced Ndamukong Suh after he departed following 2018, so here’s their chance.

Ross Blacklock has underrated athleticism at his listed size from college (6-3, 329).

  21. Philadelphia Eagles: Ashtyn Davis, S, California
The Eagles suffered a big loss this offseason when Malcolm Jenkins departed for New Orleans. They need a new safety to prevent Will Parks from starting.

  22. Buffalo Bills: Lucas Niang, OT, TCU
The Bills signed some offensive linemen last offseason, but some of them are just short-term solutions. Here’s a right tackle for the long haul.

  23. Baltimore Ravens: J.K. Dobbins, RB, Ohio State
With Mark Ingram entering his 30s, and Justice Hill disappointing, the Ravens will want to add another running back to handle a big chunk of carries.

J.K. Dobbins entered 2017 as a backup, but overtook Mike Weber and had a terrific freshman campaign, showing off his great, explosive running ability.

  24. Detroit Lions: Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
The Lions acquired this pick after moving down from No. 3 to 5 in my projected trade.

I’ve been thinking of places to slot Jordan Love, and I think Detroit makes the most sense. Matthew Stafford can’t be trusted to stay healthy, so the Lions need to invest a second-day pick in a young quarterback. The Lions coached Love at the Senior Bowl, so if they liked what they saw in Mobile, they could pull the trigger in Round 2.

Love has a great physical skill set, but he has poor pocket awareness and field vision.

  25. Los Angeles Rams: Chase Claypool, WR, Notre Dame
The Rams traded Brandin Cooks, so they’ll need to add a receiver to their corps.

Pick change; previously Jalen Reagor, WR

  26. Minnesota Vikings: K.J. Hamler, WR, Penn State
The Vikings have just one viable starting receiver on their roster at the moment, so this is their chance to replace Stefon Diggs.

K.J. Hamler is an absolutely electric play-maker who caught 41 passes for Penn State as a freshman. He can go the distance whenever he gets his hands on the ball.

  27. Seattle Seahawks: Josh Uche, DE/LB, Michigan
The Seahawks tend to select players who thrive at the Senior Bowl. Uche was certainly one of the winners at Mobile, and he compares to Bruce Irvin, whom the Seahawks selected in the first round long ago.

Pick change; previously DaVon Hamilton, DT

  28. Baltimore Ravens: Michael Pittman Jr., WR, USC
The Ravens hit a home run with Marquise Brown, but they need to add a second and a third receiver to play along with the former Sooner.

  29. Tennessee Titans: Damon Arnette, CB, Ohio State
The Titans lost Logan Ryan to free agency, so they’ll have to spend an early pick on a cornerback.

Damon Arnette is a talented cornerback who would be a first-round prospect if it weren’t for character concerns.

  30. Green Bay Packers: Jordan Elliott, DE/DT, Missouri
The 49ers trampled the Packers in the NFC Championship, so Green Bay needs to find players who can improve its woeful run defense.

  31. Kansas City Chiefs: Zack Moss, RB, Utah
The Chiefs could trade for Leonard Fournette to upgrade their backfield. Here’s an alternative solution.

  32. Seattle Seahawks: DaVon Hamilton, DT, Ohio State
The Seahawks lost Quinton Jefferson to the Bills in free agency, so they’ll need to add some talent to their defensive interior.

Pick change; previously Laviska Shenault, WR
