2015 NFL Mock Draft: Round 3

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Nick O’Leary, TE, Florida State
    Marcedes Lewis has been a huge disappointment since signing his contract, so the Jaguars need an upgrade. Lewis, 31 right after the 2015 NFL Draft, will be due nearly $7 million in the final season of his contract, so Jacksonville may cut him next offseason.

  2. New York Jets: Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas
    How pissed will Rex Ryan be if the Jets finally add some talented corners after completely ignoring the position this past offseason, and he’s not there anymore?

  3. Oakland Raiders: Duke Johnson, RB, Miami
    Latavius Murray looks like a nice running back, but I’m not sure he can carry the load by himself. Here’s a nice complement.

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Lorenzo Mauldin, DE/OLB, Louisville
    Gerald McCoy is the only Buccaneer putting consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks. That needs to change, especially considering the other quarterbacks in the division.



  5. Tennessee Titans: Derron Smith, S, Fresno State
    Here’s some much-needed help for the Titans in their putrid secondary. Their safeties have been terrible.

  6. Washington Redskins: Anthony Harris, S, Virginia
    The issues the Redskins have in their secondary are pretty well documented. They’ve been counting on Ryan Clark this year, which is disastrous because the former Steeler is way past his prime.

  7. New York Giants: Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
    Here’s some more defensive line help for the Giants, who could use some long-term options in the interior to go along with Johnathan Hankins.

  8. Carolina Panthers: Buck Allen, RB, USC
    Neither DeAngelo Williams nor Jonathan Stewart is very effective anymore – save for what Stewart did against the hapless Saints – so the Panthers may want to move in a different direction in terms of finding a running back.

  9. New Orleans Saints: Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn
    The Saints’ starting center, Jonathan Goodwin, turns 36 in December. He’ll be a free agent in March.

  10. Chicago Bears: Wayne Lyons, CB, Stanford
    Kyle Fuller looked great back when he was healthy – he completely shut down Kelvin Benjamin and other solid receivers – but the Bears will need another corner with Charles Tillman likely done.

  11. Minnesota Vikings: Corey Robinson, OT, South Carolina
    Matt Kalil has been awful this year, but the Vikings might give him another chance next year if he’s really playing hurt. They’ll have to acquire some insurance, however.

  12. St. Louis Rams: Eric Striker, OLB, Oklahoma
    The Rams’ secondary has been playing better lately – the Mark Barron trade is working out – and the defensive line is dominant. That just leaves the linebacking corps, which has some issues.

  13. Miami Dolphins: Michael Bennett, DT, Ohio State
    Jared Odrick has played so well this year that he’ll command lots of money in free agency this upcoming spring. The Dolphins may have to find a new defensive tackle as a consequence.

  14. Kansas City Chiefs: Kurtis Drummond, S, Michigan State
    The Chiefs will need to think about bringing in a new safety, as Eric Berry may not be able to play football ever again, unfortunately.

  15. Buffalo Bills: Hauoli Kikaha, DE/OLB, Washington
    The Bills have a pair of potent exterior pass-rushers, but they could use some depth there.

  16. San Francisco 49ers: Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB, Georgia
    The 49ers should look into drafting another pass-rusher, just in case Aldon Smith can’t stay out of trouble.



  17. Houston Texans: Ray Drew, DE/DT, Georgia
    The Texans have struggled against the run this year because they miss Antonio Smith, whom they failed to replace this past offseason. Here’s an upgrade who will make their defensive front even more formidable.

  18. Cleveland Browns: Sean Hickey, OT, Syracuse
    The Browns were thinking about finding an upgrade over right tackle Mitchell Schwartz this offseason, and they would’ve considered Greg Robinson if he fell to them.

  19. Baltimore Ravens: Ty Montgomery, WR, Stanford
    Depending on how things shake out this offseason, the Ravens may want to bring in multiple new wide receivers.

  20. Dallas Cowboys: Trey Flowers, DE/OLB, Arkansas
    The Cowboys couldn’t get any pressure on Colt McCoy in an embarrassing Monday night defeat. Eli Manning also had all the time he needed to find Odell Beckham. Mark Sanchez had a clean pocket. That has to change. Several upgrades can be obtained on the defensive line.

  21. Atlanta Falcons: Ty Sambrailo, OT, Colorado State
    The Jake Matthews pick looks like it’s working out, but the Falcons could stand to add another offensive tackle because Sam Baker (and everyone else) is always hurt.

  22. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jordan Richards, S, Stanford
    More help for Pittsburgh’s anemic secondary. The Steelers signed Michael Mitchell this offseason, but he hasn’t met expectations. He was torched in the Indianapolis game along with Cortez Allen.

  23. San Diego Chargers: Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina
    The Chargers could use some help at receiver, as Malcom Floyd will be 34 next season, while Eddie Royal is an impending free agent.

  24. Philadelphia Eagles: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon
    Another Oregon player for Chip Kelly. This one can upgrade Todd Herremans at right guard and then move to tackle once Jason Peters retires.



  25. Cincinnati Bengals: Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado State
    The Bengals should obtain a quarterback to groom as a possible replacement for the inconsistent Andy Dalton.

  26. Indianapolis Colts: Henry Anderson, DE/DT, Stanford
    Cory Redding has been a stud this year, but he will be a 34-year-old free agent in March. A long-term pass-rusher on the defensive line is needed.

  27. Detroit Lions: Laken Tomlinson, G, Duke
    The Lions need to do something about their offensive line. Rob Sims has played poorly for the most part on the interior this year.

  28. Arizona Cardinals: Za’Darius Smith, DE/OLB, Kentucky
    The Cardinals need a long-term pass-rusher across from Sam Acho; John Abraham will be a 37-year-old free agent next spring. I was surprised they didn’t draft an edge rusher this past May.

  29. Seattle Seahawks: Christian Covington, DT, Rice
    The Seahawks are really missing Brandon Mebane. They need some help at defensive tackle, even once Mebane returns from his hamstring injury next year.

  30. Denver Broncos: Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia
    The Broncos have had issues at middle linebacker for quite some time, so perhaps they’ll finally put those to rest by spending a first-round pick on an upgrade.

  31. Green Bay Packers: Danielle Hunter, DE/OLB, LSU
    Julius Peppers has been a natural fit for the Packers, but he’s just a short-term rental. Green Bay may want to add another pass-rusher for the future.

  32. New England Patriots: D.J. Humphries, OT/G, Florida
    Another versatile offensive lineman, as Bill Belichick could spend multiple picks to fortify his front line.
