  1. Cleveland Browns: Ahkello Witherspoon, CB, Colorado
The Browns have major problems in their secondary. Both cornerback and safety need to be addressed. Fortunately for them, this is a deep draft for both positions.

Pick change; previously Tre’Davious White, CB

  2. San Francisco 49ers: Corey Davis, WR, Western Michigan
The 49ers signed Pierre Garcon, but are still pretty devoid of talent at receiver. Perhaps they’ll see the value with Corey Davis, who is projected much earlier in other mock drafts.

Pick change; previously Ryan Ramczyk, OT

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
The Jaguars traded Julius Thomas to the Dolphins, so perhaps they’ll use a second-day selection on a tight end who isn’t constantly injured and lethargic.

  4. Chicago Bears: Zay Jones, WR, East Carolina
The Bears lost Alshon Jeffery this offseason, while Kevin White has yet to prove that he can remain healthy. Using an early-round selection on a receiver makes a lot of sense.

Pick change; previously Ahkello Witherspoon, CB

  5. Los Angeles Rams: T.J. Watt, LB, Wisconsin
The Rams signed Connor Barwin to play across from Robert Quinn, but that was just a short-term fix. T.J. Watt would be an upgrade for the long haul, and it helps that Wade Phillips knows his brother very well.

Pick change; previously Dan Feeney, G

  6. Los Angeles Chargers: DeShone Kizer, QB, Notre Dame
I’m going to reference my Pittsburgh first-round pick here. The Steelers can take Deshaun Watson to eventually succeed Ben Roethlisberger, and the Chargers could do the same thing with Philip Rivers. The long-time Charger quarterback turns 36 during the season, so someone is needed to take over for him in the near future. With DeShone Kizer offering so much value, it could be difficult for the Chargers to pass on him.

  7. New York Jets: Marcus Williams, S, Utah
Here’s another upgrade for the secondary. The Jets could obtain a stud cornerback at No. 6 overall, and they can replace the anemic Calvin Pryor with this selection.

  8. Carolina Panthers: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
Jonathan Stewart is still a quality runner, but he turns 30 this March, so Carolina might envision someone like Alvin Kamara as Cam Newton’s backfield partner for the next 8-10 years.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Bengals inexplicably allowed two of their best offensive linemen to leave via free agency despite having plenty of cap space. They’ll have to find replacements for these blockers early in the 2017 NFL Draft. Besides, the Bengals could use some neighborly advice to remember that someone as talented as Dan Feeney is available at this juncture.

Pick change; previously Dion Dawkins, G/OT

  10. New Orleans Saints: Jarrad Davis, LB, Florida
The Saints signed Manti Te’o this offseason, but he’s hardly the solution they need at linebacker. A talented prospect like Jarrad Davis would help that dire situation.

Pick change; previously Fabian Moreau, CB

  11. Philadelphia Eagles: Jalen Tabor, CB, Florida
The Eagles have needed to upgrade their dubious cornerback situation for quite some time now, and I expect them to do so in the first couple of rounds in the 2017 NFL Draft. There are tons of strong cornerback prospects available in this class, so the Eagles can afford to wait until the second round.

Pick change; previously Sidney Jones, CB

  12. Buffalo Bills: Quincy Wilson, CB, Florida
The Bills lost Stephon Gilmore to the Patriots. I imagine their fans are already imagining worst-case scenarios. Buffalo needs a cornerback to replace Gilmore.

  13. Arizona Cardinals: Davis Webb, QB, California
General manager Steve Keim discussed finding a long-term quarterback this offseason. The Cardinals could take a shot on a signal-caller on the second day of the draft, rather than spending the No. 13 overall pick on Carson Palmer’s successor. Of course, taking someone like DeShone Kizer is possible at 13th overall as well.

  14. Indianapolis Colts: Jordan Willis, DE/OLB, Kansas State
Jordan Willis’ draft stock is rising, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him pop up in some first rounds of mock drafts after his strong combine. I wouldn’t go that far yet, but it’s something I may consider in the future. Either way, the Colts could absolutely use him, as he would start across from the newly acquired Jabaal Sheard.

  15. Baltimore Ravens: Charles Harris, DE/OLB, Missouri
The top pass-rushers were all off the board by the time the Ravens were on the clock at No. 16 in this mock draft update. Luckily for them, this class is stacked as far as edge rushers are concerned. A replacement for Elvis Dumervil can be obtained here.

  16. Minnesota Vikings: Caleb Brantley, DT, Florida
Missing Sharrif Floyd hurt this past season, and Mike Zimmer didn’t sound like he’d be able to trust Floyd going forward. Here’s an insurance policy.

Pick change; previously Malik McDowell, DE/DT

  17. Washington Redskins: Chris Wormley, DE/DT, Michigan
As mentioned in the first round, the Redskins need help at defensive end, inside linebacker and safety to shore up the middle of their defense. Chris Wormley is the sort of prospect the Redskins love, and he’s one of the top players available.

  18. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State
The Buccaneers signed DeSean Jackson, but they could use a third receiver to go along with him and Mike Evans. Tampa has shown a ton of interest in Chris Godwin.

Pick change; previously Zay Jones, WR

  19. Denver Broncos: Sidney Jones, CB, Washington
The Broncos are the sort of team that can afford to wait on Sidney Jones. It makes sense from a needs perspective as well. T.J. Ward is entering his contract year. If he leaves and is replaced by Bradley Roby, that’ll open up a void at cornerback, which Jones can fill in 2018 and beyond.

Pick change; previously Takk McKinley, DE/OLB

  20. Cleveland Browns: Desmond King, S/CB, Iowa
The Browns had some horrific secondary play last year, as both positions need to be upgraded. Their safety situation is pretty dire.

  21. Detroit Lions: Malik McDowell, DE/DT, Michigan State
Can the Lions finally fill the void they’ve had at defensive tackle since Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley left? They’ll have a chance to do so in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Jarrad Davis, LB

  22. Miami Dolphins: Dion Dawkins, G/OT, Temple
The Dolphins traded away Branden Albert, but that’s fine for their left tackle situation because Laremy Tunsil can slide outside. However, that’ll open up a hole at guard, which will need to be addressed early in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Carlos Watkins, DT

  23. New York Giants: Carlos Watkins, DT, Clemson
Johnathan Hankins could re-sign with the Giants, but he’s floating around in free agency right now. If he doesn’t return, New York will need to find a new defensive tackle.

Pick change; previously Taylor Moton, OT

  24. Oakland Raiders: Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
The Raiders had one of the worst No. 3 receivers in Seth Roberts last year, so they could use an upgrade to play along with Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper.

  25. Houston Texans: Gerald Everett, TE, South Alabama
The Texans desperately need a receiving threat at tight end, and Gerald Everett is one of many talented tight ends in this draft class.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Kevin King, CB, Washington
I think back-to-back cornerbacks makes a lot of sense for the Seahawks, as they would use Kevin King outside, across from Richard Sherman, and Adoree Jackson in the slot. King, like Jackson, is a great fit for Seattle.

  27. Kansas City Chiefs: Tim Williams, DE/OLB, Alabama
With Tamba Hali nearing retirement and Dee Ford hitting free agency soon, the Chiefs could be in the market for a new edge rusher. Tim Williams has Randy Gregory-type off-the-field concerns, but Andy Reid has taken chances on troubled players.

  28. Dallas Cowboys: Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA
As mentioned in the first round, the Cowboys are expected to address the defense early and often. Cornerback help will sorely be needed if Morris Claiborne leaves via free agency. As luck would have it, this class is stacked at corner.

Pick change; previously Jalen Tabor, CB

  29. Green Bay Packers: Tyus Bowser, DE/OLB, Houston
The Packers managed to retain Nick Perry, but lost Julius Peppers in the process. Another edge rusher is needed. They can take Tyus Bowser, who came out of his shell to have a great Senior Bowl and then breathed fire at the combine.

  30. Pittsburgh Steelers: Tanoh Kpassagnon, DE/DT, Villanova
The Steelers have shown interest in Tanoh Kpassagnon, and they could take him here as a potential replacement for Stephon Tuitt, who is entering his contract season.

  31. Atlanta Falcons: Derek Rivers, DE/OLB, Youngstown State
It was a bit odd to see the Falcons eschew their pass rush in the 2016 NFL Draft, especially when Shaq Lawson dropped to them at No. 17. I’m sure that after seeing their defenders struggle to get to the quarterback – save for Vic Beasley, who has improved – they’ll be desperate for someone who can apply pressure on opposing signal-callers in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Pick change; previously Trey Hendrickson, DE

  32. Carolina Panthers: Budda Baker, S, Washington
There are some quality safeties still remaining on the board, and the Panthers will take one if they stay true to their “best player available” policy.

Pick change; previously Justin Evans, S
