2015 NFL Mock Draft: Round 3

  1. Oakland Raiders: Ramik Wilson, ILB, Georgia
    Miles Burris is perhaps the worst starting linebacker in the NFL. The Raiders desperately need an upgrade in the middle of their defense.

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Nick O’Leary, TE, Florida State
    Marcedes Lewis has been a huge disappointment since signing his contract, so the Jaguars need an upgrade. Lewis, 31 right after the 2015 NFL Draft, will be due nearly $7 million in the final season of his contract, so Jacksonville may cut him next offseason.

  3. New York Jets: Quandre Diggs, CB, Texas
    How pissed will Rex Ryan be if the Jets finally add some talented corners after completely ignoring the position this past offseason, and he’s not there anymore?

  4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Lorenzo Mauldin, DE/OLB, Louisville
    Gerald McCoy is the only Buccaneer putting consistent pressure on opposing quarterbacks. That needs to change, especially considering the other quarterbacks in the division.

  5. Tennessee Titans: Derron Smith, S, Fresno State
    Here’s more help for the Titans in their putrid secondary. Their safeties have been just as bad as their corners.

  6. Washington Redskins: Karl Joseph, S, West Virginia
    The issues the Redskins have in their secondary are pretty well documented. They’ve been counting on Ryan Clark this year, which is disastrous because the former Steeler is way past his prime.

  7. New York Giants: Carl Davis, DT, Iowa
    Here’s some more defensive line help for the Giants, who could use some long-term options in the interior to go along with Johnathan Hankins.

  8. Carolina Panthers: Jay Ajayi, RB, Boise State
    Neither DeAngelo Williams nor Jonathan Stewart is very effective anymore, so the Panthers may want to move in a different direction in terms of finding a running back.

  9. Chicago Bears: Senquez Golson, CB, Ole Miss
    Kyle Fuller looked great back when he was healthy – he completely shut down Kelvin Benjamin and other solid receivers – but the Bears will need another corner with Charles Tillman likely done.

  10. St. Louis Rams: Laken Tomlinson, G, Duke
    With Jake Long’s future uncertain, the Rams may want to find some help on the offensive line this upcoming offseason.

  11. Minnesota Vikings: Nate Orchard, DE, Utah
    A defensive end is an option; Brian Robison will turn 32 right after the 2015 NFL Draft, so a successor will be needed.

  12. New Orleans Saints: Reese Dismukes, C, Auburn
    The Saints’ starting center, Jonathan Goodwin, turns 36 in December. He’ll be a free agent in March.



  13. Houston Texans: Cam Thomas, CB, Western Kentucky
    The Texans wanted to address cornerback depth in the previous offseason, but never got around to it. Perhaps they will this spring.

  14. Baltimore Ravens: Ty Montgomery, WR, Stanford
    Depending on how things shake out this offseason, the Ravens may want to bring in multiple new wide receivers.

  15. Kansas City Chiefs: Anthony Harris, S, Virginia
    The Chiefs will need to think about bringing in a new safety, as Eric Berry may not be able to play football ever again, unfortunately.

  16. Buffalo Bills: Hauoli Kikaha, DE/OLB, Washington
    The Bills have a pair of potent exterior pass-rushers, but they could use some depth there.

  17. San Francisco 49ers: Jordan Jenkins, DE/OLB, Georgia
    The 49ers should look into drafting another pass-rusher, just in case Aldon Smith can’t stay out of trouble.

  18. Cleveland Browns: Josh Harper, WR, Fresno State
    The Browns almost have to draft a receiver with one of their many early picks, don’t they? Having Miles Austin start for a second year just can’t happen.

  19. Pittsburgh Steelers: Jordan Richards, S, Stanford
    More help for Pittsburgh’s anemic secondary. The Steelers signed Michael Mitchell this offseason, but he hasn’t met expectations. He was torched in the Indianapolis game along with Cortez Allen.

  20. Dallas Cowboys: Kurtis Drummond, S, Michigan State
    The Cowboys are still hurting in the secondary, and they could use an upgrade at both corner and safety.



  21. Atlanta Falcons: Trey Flowers, DE/OLB, Arkansas
    The Falcons may want to double up on pass-rushers, given that they absolutely need to improve their ability to get to the quarterback.

  22. Miami Dolphins: Wayne Lyons, CB, Stanford
    The Dolphins have a great defense, but they happen to have a hole across from Brent Grimes. An upgrade is needed over Corland Finnegan, and a new No. 1 corner will have to be acquired in the near future, given that Grimes will be 32 in July.

  23. Detroit Lions: Michael Bennett, DT, Ohio State
    The Lions suddenly need to look at defensive tackles. Ndamukong Suh is entering his contract year, while Nick Fairley has issues with lethargy.

  24. Indianapolis Colts: Henry Anderson, DE/DT, Stanford
    Cory Redding has been a stud this year, but he will be a 34-year-old free agent in March. A long-term pass-rusher on the defensive line is needed.



  25. San Diego Chargers: Justin Hardy, WR, East Carolina
    The Chargers could use some help at receiver, as Malcom Floyd will be 34 next season, while Eddie Royal is an impending free agent.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Christian Covington, DT, Rice
    The Seahawks are really missing Brandon Mebane. They need some help at defensive tackle, even once Mebane returns from his hamstring injury next year.

  27. Cincinnati Bengals: Garrett Grayson, QB, Colorado State
    The Bengals should obtain a quarterback to groom as a possible replacement for the inconsistent Andy Dalton.

  28. Arizona Cardinals: Za’Darius Smith, DE/OLB, Kentucky
    The Cardinals need a long-term pass-rusher across from Sam Acho; John Abraham will be a 37-year-old free agent next spring. I was surprised they didn’t draft an edge rusher this past May.

  29. Philadelphia Eagles: Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon
    Another Oregon player for Chip Kelly. This one can upgrade Todd Herremans at right guard and then move to tackle once Jason Peters retires.


  30. Denver Broncos: Steve Nelson, CB, Oregon State
    The Broncos just spent a first-round pick on a cornerback, but they’ll have to deal with Chris Harris’ impending free agency this March.

  31. Green Bay Packers: Obum Gwacham, DE/OLB, Oregon State
    Julius Peppers has been a natural fit for the Packers, but he’s just a short-term rental. Green Bay may want to add another pass-rusher for the future.

  32. New England Patriots: D.J. Humphries, OT/G, Florida
    Another versatile offensive lineman, as Bill Belichick could spend multiple picks to fortify his front line.
