*** THIS IS A LIVE 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tharold Simon, CB, LSU
Derek Cox signed with the Broncos. Aaron Ross signed with the Giants. Rashean Mathis and William Middleton are gone. That leaves two guys named Mike Harris and Alan Ball as the starting cornerbacks. That’s not good.

Tharold Simon fits perfectly into Gus Bradley’s system as a tall, lanky corner.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

  2. Kansas City Chiefs: Barrett Jones, G/C/OT, Alabama
The Chiefs need depth at both guard and center. Barrett Jones is capable of playing four positions up front, so he’d be a great solution.

  3. Oakland Raiders: Logan Ryan, CB, Rutgers
The Raiders were without their two starting cornerbacks most of this season. Ronald Bartell was released, while Shawntae Spencer just isn’t very good.

  4. Philadelphia Eagles: Cornelius Washington, DE/OLB, Georgia
Despite signing Connor Barwin, the Eagles have brought in several free-agent and draft-prospect rush linebackers. It looks like they want one more pass-rusher.

  5. Minnesota Vikings: Shamarko Thomas, S, Syracuse
As noted in my Minnesota Vikings NFL Offseason Needs, Harrison Smith deserved Rookie of the Year consideration, but he’s the only talented safety on Minnesota’s roster.

Pick change; previously Leon McFadden, CB

  6. Arizona Cardinals: Tony Jefferson, S, Oklahoma
Adrian Wilson and Kerry Rhodes were both cut, which opened up a major hole at safety for Arizona. Yeremiah Bell was signed, but he’s just one player, and a short-term solution at that.

  7. Cleveland Browns: Marquise Goodwin, WR/KR, Texas
Josh Gordon improved as the 2012 season went along, but the Browns need another receiver to go along with the inconsistent Greg Little.

  8. Buffalo Bills: Ty Powell, LB, Harding
Kelvin Sheppard was a big disappointment in his sophomore campaign. Nick Barnett, meanwhile, was released. Two upgrades are needed at linebacker.

Pick change; previously Kevin Reddick, ILB

  9. New York Jets: Travis Kelce, TE, Cincinnati
Here’s another play-maker for the Jets’ offense. They need a replacement at tight end after losing Dustin Keller to the Dolphins.

Pick change; previously Gavin Escobar, TE

  10. Tennessee Titans: Jelani Jenkins, OLB, Florida
The Titans barely have any depth at linebacker, so they’ll have to use a mid-round pick to fix that.

  11. Carolina Panthers: Cobi Hamilton, WR, Arkansas
Panthers’ head coach Commander Adama hinted that signing Mike Wallace was a possibility. That didn’t happen, but it at least was an indication that Carolina is looking to upgrade the receiver position. Another possibility is drafting Colonel Tigh, as seen in my April Fools Mock Draft.

Pick change; previously Aaron Dobson, WR

  12. New Orleans Saints: Brandon Williams, NT, Missouri Southern
Another piece for New Orleans’ new 3-4. The Saints could use a long-term solution at nose tackle behind Brodrick Bunkley.

  13. San Diego Chargers: John Simon, DE/OLB, Ohio State
Shaun Phillips is a free agent, so San Diego will need a complement for Melvin Ingram if it can’t retain its long-time veteran.

  14. Miami Dolphins: Zaviar Gooden, OLB, Missouri
Something the Dolphins must do this offseason is find some linebacker depth because they’re awfully thin there. They signed two expensive linebackers, but they also cut two in the process.

  15. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jordan Poyer, CB, Oregon State
The Buccaneers don’t ever shy away from doubling up on positions. They may do so at cornerback, as this was a huge area of need even before the Aqib Talib trade.

Pick change; previously Denard Robinson, KR

  16. St. Louis Rams: Everett Dawkins, DT, Florida State
Kendall Langford, who disappointed a bit last year, is due $16 million over the next three years, so he may not be around much longer.

Pick change; previously Joseph Randle, RB

  17. Dallas Cowboys: Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson
The Cowboys are expected to use a mid-round pick on a running back. Jerry Jones recently said that none of DeMarco Murray’s current backups are considered No. 2 runners.

  18. Pittsburgh Steelers: Chris Harper, WR, Kansas State
Here is some much-needed help for Ben Roethlisberger. The Steelers need a new wideout after losing Mike Wallace.

Pick change; previously Travis Kelce, TE

  19. New York Giants: Leon McFadden, CB, San Diego State
The Giants re-sign Aaron Ross, but they could still stand to use a mid-round pick on a cornerback after how poorly Corey Webster played last year.

Pick change; previously A.J. Klein, ILB

  20. Chicago Bears: Kenny Stills, WR, Oklahoma
The Bears have revealed that they will be searching for a speed element to their passing game this offseason. This is a good idea because they cannot have Devin Hester on the field as a receiver any longer.

Pick change; previously Josh Boyce, WR

  21. Cincinnati Bengals: Tyrann Mathieu, CB, LSU
Cincinnati just drafted Dre Kirkpatrick in the first round last year, but an early cornerback selection is still in play because the team doesn’t have much long-termcornerback depth. That’s a problem because Mike Zimmer loves having three corners on the field.

  22. Washington Redskins: T.J. McDonald, S, USC
More secondary help for the Redskins. They need a safety to pair with Brandon Meriweather – assuming that Meriweather can actually stay on the field for a change.

  23. Minnesota Vikings: Joseph Randle, RB, Oklahoma State
Toby Gerhart is entering his contract year and could be traded. The Vikings will need a No. 2 back in 2014 and beyond.

Pick change; previously Mike Gillislee, RB

  24. Indianapolis Colts: David Quessenberry, G/C/OT, San Jose State
The Colts signed Gosder Cherilus, but they still need to find another upgrade on the interior of their offensive line. The weakest of Andrew Luck’s blockers last year was right guard Mike McGlynn, who was guilty of four sacks in the final four games.

Pick change; previously Cobi Hamilton, WR

  25. Green Bay Packers: Brian Schwenke, C, California
Can anyone explain why Jeff Saturday was voted to the Pro Bowl? He didn’t even start at the end of the season. The Packers had major problems at center after letting Scott Wells walk away, so they’ll have to address that area in April.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Jordan Hill, DT, Penn State
Seattle’s greatest priority going into this offseason was finding more pass-rushers. They added Michael Bennett and Cliff Avril, but they could still use an interior presence.

Pick change; previously Brennan Williams, OT

  27. Houston Texans: Brennan Williams, OT, North Carolina
The Texans want to bolster their offensive line this offseason. They’re very thin at tackle.

Pick change; previously Oday Aboushi, G/OT

  28. Denver Broncos: Sanders Commings, CB/S, Georgia
The Broncos don’t have a current need for a cornerback, but they definitely will soon. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie will be a free agent next spring, while Champ Bailey will be due $9 million in a walk year, so he’ll probably be cut if he plays like he did against the Ravens.

Pick change; previously Shamarko Thomas, S

  29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Montori Hughes, NT, Tennessee-Martin
The Buccaneers have a need next to Gerald McCoy at defensive tackle, as Roy Miller recently signed with the Jaguars.

  30. Atlanta Falcons: Denard Robinson, RB/WR/KR, Michigan
The Falcons have absolutely zero depth at receiver. They need some help with that, as well as a potential successor for Roddy White. They also could use help in the return game.

Pick change; previously Chris Harper, WR

  31. San Francisco 49ers: Marcus Lattimore, RB, South Carolina
There was some talk at the Combine about how the 49ers might spend a mid-round selection on Marcus Lattimore because they have so many draft choices. In the wake of the Alex Smith trade, that’s an even greater possibility, as San Francisco can afford to take this sort of gamble. Lattimore may not be able to play in 2013, but the 49ers could have a stud back in 2014 and beyond.

  32. Baltimore Ravens: Dwayne Gratz, CB, Connecticut
The Ravens suddenly have glaring issues at cornerback. Lardarius Webb tore an ACL for the second time in his career, while Cary Williams just signed with the Eagles.

  33. Baltimore Ravens: Chris Faulk, OT, LSU
The Ravens have absolutely no tackle depth behind Michael Oher and Jah Reid. I’m sure they’d like to take a tackle so they can keep Kelechi Osemele at his natural guard position.

  34. San Francisco 49ers: A.J. Klein, ILB, Iowa State
The 49ers obviously have two outstanding inside linebackers in Patrick Willis and Navorro Bowman, but with Larry Grant hitting free agency, there’s very little depth at that position.

Pick change; previously Ty Powell, LB

  35. Detroit Lions: Alvin Bailey, G, Arkansas
The Lions will almost surely spend another pick on a lineman after taking Menelik Watson in the second round. Whether it’s a guard or a tackle depends on where they plan on using Riley Reiff.

  36. Atlanta Falcons: Devin Taylor, DE, South Carolina
The Falcons could double up on defensive ends. They signed Osi Umenyiora, but there’s no guarantee he’ll be effective.
