*** THIS IS A LIVE 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT. PICKS ARE BEING POSTED NOW. TO SEE PREVIOUS VERSIONS, CHECK OUT THE ARCHIVED 2013 NFL MOCK DRAFT SECTION. FOLLOW @walterfootball FOR UPDATES ***

  1. Kansas City Chiefs: Kiko Alonso, ILB, Oregon
The Chiefs pretty much sent everyone to Oregon’s Pro Day, so Andy Reid had a good look at Kiko Alonso, who could perhaps be Jovan Belcher’s replacement.

    Follow @walterfootball for updates.

  2. Jacksonville Jaguars: Dallas Thomas, G/OT, Tennessee
General manager David Caldwell was recently asked who his right tackle was, and he couldn’t answer that question. The position obviously needs to be addressed.

Pick change; previously Matt Scott, QB

  3. Detroit Lions: Robert Woods, WR, USC
The Lions brought in Cordarrelle Patterson and Justin Hunter for private interviews recently (check the NFL Draft Prospect Meetings list for more). Both are off the board, but another talented wideout would help across from Calvin Johnson.

Pick change; previously Terrance Williams, WR

  4. Oakland Raiders: Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
The Raiders traded for Matt Flynn, but they still need to bring in a young quarterback as a long-term solution.

Pick change; previously Dallas Thomas, G/OT

  5. Philadelphia Eagles: Terrance Williams, WR, Baylor
The Eagles acquired Arrelious Benn from the Buccaneers, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t draft a large receiver in the middle rounds. They’re looking for one.

Pick change; previously Jordan Poyer, CB

  6. Cleveland Browns: Matt Scott, QB, Arizona
Michael Lombardi signed Jason Campbell to compete with Brandon Weeden for the starting job, but neither quarterback is a long-term solution. The Browns will probably draft a signal-caller in Rounds 3 or 4.

Pick change; previously Tyler Bray, QB

  7. Arizona Cardinals: David Bakhtiari, OT/G, Colorado
This is a pretty obvious selection. The Cardinals have pressing offensive line issues that they’ll absolutely need to resolve this offseason. If they want to keep second-rounder Mike Glennon healthy, they’ll need to find multiple upgrades up front.

  8. Tennessee Titans: Corey Lemonier, DE/OLB, Auburn
The Titans have zero depth behind Derrick Morgan and Kamerion Wimbley, and in a division that features Matt Schaub and Andrew Luck, they need all the pass-rushing help they can get.

  9. Buffalo Bills: Vance McDonald, TE, Rice
General manager Buddy Nix recently told the media that he plans on upgrading the tight end position. Expect one of his Day 2 selections to be used on this.

  10. New York Jets: Christine Michael, RB, Texas A&M
The Jets need to give their next quarterback some weapons to work with. Both the receiver and tight end positions need to be upgraded. Running back must be addressed as well. Shonn Greene signed with the Titans, but he wasn’t very good anyway.

  11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Gavin Escobar, TE, San Diego State
Charlie Campbell (@DraftCampbell) has informed me that the Buccaneers will be targeting a tight end early in the 2013 NFL Draft. Dallas Clark is a worn-down free agent, while Luke Stocker has been a disappointment thus far. Josh Freeman needs a consistent intermediate target.

Pick change; previously Marc Anthony, CB

  12. San Francisco 49ers: D.J. Hayden, CB, Houston
Teams are always looking for cornerback depth, especially if they have extra picks. Besides, Carlos Rogers didn’t play as well this past season. He was solid at times, but was inconsistent.

Pick change; previously John Jenkins, NT

  13. New Orleans Saints: David Amerson, S/CB, N.C. State
The Saints obviously have to upgrade their secondary after sporting one of the worst pass defenses of all time in 2012. Keenan Lewis was added, but at least one more defensive back is needed.

Pick change; previously D.J. Hayden, CB

  14. San Diego Chargers: Marc Anthony, CB, California
Quentin Jammer and Antoine Cason are no longer on the roster. The Chargers signed Derek Cox, but they need another corner.

Pick change; previously Robert Woods, WR

  15. Miami Dolphins: Giovani Bernard, RB, North Carolina
The Dolphins don’t seem to like Daniel Thomas very much, so they may consider a mid-round complement for Lamar Miller.

  16. St. Louis Rams: Phillip Thomas, S, Fresno State
As mentioned in Round 1 when I had the Rams choosing Kenny Vaccaro, the team has two big holes at safety that it needs to fill.

Pick change; previously Quinton Patton, WR

  17. Pittsburgh Steelers: Knile Davis, RB, Arkansas
Rashard Mendenhall won’t be back next year and Jonathan Dwyer isn’t viewed as a starter per reports, so the Steelers will need to find a new running back.

  18. Dallas Cowboys: Bacarri Rambo, S, Georgia
The safety position was a major weak point for the Cowboys this past season after Barry Church tore his Achilles’ tendon. Gerald Sensabaugh’s release only magnified that need, though the team did recently sign Will Allen.

Pick change; previously Dallas Thomas, G/OT

  19. New York Giants: Khaseem Greene, LB, Rutgers
Keith Rivers just signed a 1-year deal, but he’s not the long-term solution because he can never stay healthy. General manager Jerry Reese said that there needs to be better linebacker play next year.

  20. Miami Dolphins: Stedman Bailey, WR, West Virginia
The Dolphins added Mike Wallace and Brandon Gibson, and they also re-signed Brian Hartline, but that doesn’t mean they won’t take a receiver in the middle rounds. Davone Bess is due a non-guaranteed $2.63 million this season. Joe Philbin said he’ll be competing for a roster spot, so Miami may just draft a cheaper solution.

  21. Minnesota Vikings: Travis Frederick, G/C, Wisconsin
The Vikings could stand to bolster in the interior of their offensive line, as neither Charlie Johnson nor Brandon Fusco played well at guard this past season.

Pick change; previously Phillip Thomas, S

  22. Cincinnati Bengals: Da’Rick Rogers, WR, Tennessee Tech
The Bengals drafted two receivers last year, but they still might be searching for another wideout. Da’Rick Rogers makes a ton of sense for Cincinnati as a wideout with tons of upside but off-the-field issues.

  23. Washington Redskins: Markus Wheaton, WR, Oregon State
The Redskins have to fix their secondary, but something else they should do is find some help at receiver. I think they’ll do that if they get good value. That’s definitely the case in this scenario.

  24. Indianapolis Colts: Damontre Moore, DE/OLB, Texas A&M
The Colts have issues with their pass rush. Robert Mathis just turned 32 and will be due $12 million in 2014 and 2015. Jerry Hughes has never lived up to expectations. Dwight Freeney is gone. Erik Walden was just signed for depth despite being incredibly overpaid.

Damontre Moore drops because of poor workouts and work-ethic issues. He’s a steal in the middle of Round 3, however.

Pick change; previously Travis Frederick, G/C

  25. Seattle Seahawks: Jordan Reed, TE, Florida
Here’s some more help for Russell Wilson. Despite Zach Miller’s heroic conversion on third-and-long early against Washington, the Seahawks could look into bringing in a new tight end.

Pick change; previously Everett Dawkins, DT

  26. Green Bay Packers: Le’Veon Bell, RB, Michigan State
James Starks has yet to prove that he can stay healthy, while Alex Green has shown nothing in several starts. Cedric Benson is obviously not a long-term answer, though I’ve been impressed with DuJuan Harris in his limited action. Still, the Packers may address the running back position early in the 2013 NFL Draft.

  27. Houston Texans: Jon Bostic, ILB, Florida
There’s a ton of uncertainty at inside linebacker for Houston. Brian Cushing is coming off a torn ACL, Bradie James is an impending free agent who isn’t very good, while neither Tim Dobbins nor Darryl Sharpton is worthy of starting.

  28. Denver Broncos: Montee Ball, RB, Wisconsin
John Fox is not shy about using early selections on running backs. He needs one. Willis McGahee is old, Knowshon Moreno can’t be trusted, and Ronnie Hillman’s just a chance-of-pace back.

  29. New England Patriots: Tyler Bray, QB, Tennessee
The Patriots have used a third-round pick on a falling SEC quarterback before. There’s speculation that Bill Belichick could trade Ryan Mallett this offseason, so if that happens, New England may search for another project at the signal-caller position.

Pick change; previously Tyler Wilson, QB

  30. Atlanta Falcons: Sio Moore, OLB, Connecticut
As noted in my Atlanta Falcons Offseason Needs page, the Falcons’ play at linebacker must improve. Stephen Nicholas can’t be on the field on all three downs, while Akeem Dent was a disappointment in his first season as a starter. The team needs to find a linebacker capable of playing all three downs with Sean Weatherspoon.

  31. San Francisco 49ers: Aaron Dobson, WR, Marshall
Both Anquan Boldin and Mario Manningham have expiring contracts next spring, so the 49ers may want to use a pick on a wideout now so that he’s ready to step in come 2014.

Pick change; previously J.J. Wilcox, S

  32. Baltimore Ravens: Vince Williams, ILB, Florida State
The Ravens lost Ray Lewis to retirement and Dannell Ellerbe to the Dolphins this offseason. They’re obviously desperate for inside linebacker help.

  33. Houston Texans: J.J. Wilcox, S, Georgia Southern
The Texans have to find safety help in the wake of losing Glover Quin in free agency to the Lions.

Pick change; previously Bacarri Rambo, S

  34. Kansas City Chiefs: Sam Montgomery, DE, LSU
No one should be surprised if Sam Montgomery falls to the third round or later. His comments about quitting and betting on football have drawn some serious red flags. However, he’s the best player available and fills a big need for Kansas City.

The Chiefs need pass-rushing depth, and Montgomery fits the scheme well. Plus, Andy Reid has a history of giving chances to players with character issues.

  35. Tennessee Titans: Ryan Swope, WR, Texas A&M
The Titans are apparently going to part ways with Nate Washington soon, so here’s some receiver help.
