  1. Cleveland Browns: Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
Joe Haden got off to a strong start this season, but has been injured lately. The Browns have nothing else at cornerback anyway. That’ll obviously need to change, and this draft is loaded with talented players at the position.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: John Ross, WR, Washington
I don’t understand why the 49ers avoided addressing the receiver position until late in the 2016 NFL Draft. How did they not realize that they have such a huge need in that area?

  3. Chicago Bears: Dion Dawkins, OT, Temple
The Bears selected a quarterback in Round 1. Now, they’ll have to protect him. Chicago’s interior offensive line is great, but help is desperately needed at tackle.

  4. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ethan Pocic, C/G, LSU
The Jaguars are trying Luke Joeckel at guard, but it doesn’t appear as though he’s cutting it there either. They’ll have to spend an early selection on an upgrade.

  5. New York Jets: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Here he is. As mentioned in Round 1, teams have really soured on Deshaun Watson. No team we’ve spoken to has him as a first-round prospect. It’s so much like the Teddy Bridgewater draft, when the media had Bridgewater in the first round, and yet NFL franchises considered him to be a second-day prospect, even before his woeful pro day.

I have to believe the Jets would be thrilled to land Watson here, however. They have nothing at quarterback, and that includes last year’s second-round choice, Christian Hackenberg, who is a sunk cost.

Pick change; previously Tre’Davious White, CB

  6. Carolina Panthers: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
The Panthers already took a cornerback in this draft, but they’ll still need to focus on their woeful secondary. Safety is a huge need as well.

Pick change; previously Sidney Jones, CB

  7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
The Buccaneers could stand to give Jameis Winston another weapon, and an upgrade at tight end would help in the wake of Austin Seferian-Jenkins’ release.

Pick change; previously Evan Engram, TE

  8. Los Angeles Rams: Pat Elflein, C/G, Ohio State
The Rams have been weak at center for what seems like decades. OK, it hasn’t been that long, but the position has been a problem for them for a very long time. It’s time to finally end that.

  9. Cincinnati Bengals: Donnie Miles, S, North Carolina
The Bengals have major problems stopping the pass for multiple reasons, one of which is the safety play in the wake of Reggie Nelson’s departure.

Pick change; previously Justin Evans, S

  10. Arizona Cardinals: DeMarcus Walker, DE/DT, Florida State
Calais Campbell will be a 31-year-old free agent entering next offseason. It goes without saying that the Cardinals will have to replace him if he leaves.

  11. Indianapolis Colts: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
I’d have to think the Colts will be looking at a running back with one of their first few picks. Frank Gore won’t be around much longer, and Indianapolis doesn’t have a viable backup for him.

  12. Buffalo Bills: Roderick Johnson, OT, Florida State
The Bills can stand to upgrade a spot on their offensive line, and their right tackle position is in need of a boost.

  13. San Diego Chargers: Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
Given how injury-prone Keenan Allen has been, I could see the Chargers adding some talent to their receiving corps.

Pick change; previously Julie’n Davenport, OT

  14. Cleveland Browns: Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
The Browns never replaced Mitchell Schwartz, and so they have a liability at right tackle as a result. Julie’n Davenport can start there right away and eventually move to the blind side once Joe Thomas retires.

Pick change; previously Mason Cole, C

  15. Miami Dolphins: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.

Pick change; previously O.J. Howard, TE

  16. Philadelphia Eagles: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
I found it odd that the Eagles signed Leodis McKelvin, given that he was responsible for them beating the Bills when he missed a tackle on Zach Ertz in the final minutes of that game. Now, McKelvin will continue to see extensive action, which is sad, as it says a lot about how bad the other cornerbacks are. The Eagles also traded away Eric Rowe, so they could be looking for corner help with Minnesota’s selection.

Pick change; previously Tyler Orlosky, C

  17. Green Bay Packers: Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson
Green Bay’s secondary has been exposed this season. Part of the reason is because of Sam Shields’ concussion, but the Packers will still have holes at the position once he returns to the field. That’s something that will need to be addressed this upcoming offseason.

  18. New Orleans Saints: Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State
I still can’t believe the Saints signed James Laurinaitis. Did they not watch how horrible he was for the Rams? Seriously, what were they thinking?

  19. Baltimore Ravens: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
The Ravens could stand to pick up a new running back. Terrance West is just a middling talent, while Kenneth Dixon not being able to supplant West has to be discouraging.

  20. Detroit Lions: Chris Wormley, DE/DT, Michigan
Detroit’s defensive line is very strong on the edge (when Ziggy Ansah is in the lineup), but the team has yet to find a worthy replacement for Ndamukong Suh. The Lions’ inability to get to opposing quarterbacks needs to be fixed.

  21. Pittsburgh Steelers: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
DeAngelo Williams won’t be around much longer, so the Steelers will need a viable backup running back just in case Le’Veon Bell gets suspended again.

Pick change; previously Wayne Gallman, RB

  22. Washington Redskins: Jaleel Johnson, DT, Iowa
The Redskins have been routinely gashed by the run this season, as they don’t have any sort of talent up front outside of Chris Baker. This is an area they’ll have to address this upcoming offseason.

Pick change; previously Nick Chubb, RB

  23. Houston Texans: Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
It’s unfortunate that Derek Newton’s career could be over because of a double patellar tendon tear. The Texans will have to find a new right tackle.

Pick change; previously Jaleel Johnson, DE/DT

  24. New York Giants: Davis Webb, QB, California
Based on how Eli Manning has played lately, it seems like it’s time for the Giants to find a new quarterback that they can start at some point in the near future.

  25. Minnesota Vikings: Adam Bisnowaty, OT, Pittsburgh
I’m sure that if the Vikings had the cap space, they would’ve used this pick to trade for Joe Thomas. Alas, they do not, so they can try to remedy their awful tackle situation by picking one at this juncture.

Pick change; previously Ryan Ramczyk, OT

  26. Atlanta Falcons: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Falcons could stand to upgrade Chris Chester, the one liability that they currently possess on their offensive line. Dan Feeney won’t be able to teach his teammates much until he’s a veteran, but he could provide an upgrade on the interior of the front.

  27. Denver Broncos: Charles Walker, DT, Oklahoma
Charles Walker would be a nice fit in Denver’s defense, as the Broncos have to bolster the interior of their front to improve against the rush.

  28. Kansas City Chiefs: Anthony Walker, ILB, Northwestern
The Chiefs could stand to add to their linebacking corps, as Derrick Johnson turns 34 around Thanksgiving and could begin to decline soon.

  29. Seattle Seahawks: Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
I thought there was a good chance that the Seahawks would upgrade their edge rush last offseason, but they didn’t pull the trigger. They can make amends for that at this juncture, and there’s never anything wrong with adding extra talented pass-rushers.

  30. Oakland Raiders: Marquis Haynes, DE/OLB, Ole Miss
The Raiders could stand to bolster their pass rush, as it’s unclear if Aldon Smith will be able to stay out of trouble going forward.

  31. Dallas Cowboys: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
Jason Witten doesn’t have much time remaining in the NFL, so the Cowboys could stand to use an early selection on a tight end.

  32. New England Patriots: Mason Cole, C, Michigan
The Patriots could use some help on the offensive line, namely at tackle and center. Mason Cole can play all three positions on the interior, and Bill Belichick loves blockers with versatility.

Pick change; previously Adam Bisnowaty, OT
