  1. Cleveland Browns: Marcus Maye, S, Florida
    The Browns fixed some of their issues on offense in the first round by selecting a franchise quarterback and a right tackle. Now, they have to take care of their defense, and the worst part of that is their horrible secondary, which surrenders tons of big plays each game. The Browns have some of the worst safeties in the NFL, so they need to make some upgrades.

  2. San Francisco 49ers: JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, USC
    I don’t understand why the 49ers avoided addressing the receiver position until late in the 2016 NFL Draft. How did they not realize that they have such a huge need in that area?

  3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Ethan Pocic, C/G, LSU
    The Jaguars tried Luke Joeckel at guard, but it doesn’t appear as though he’s cutting it there either. They’ll have to spend an early selection on an upgrade.



  4. Chicago Bears: Ryan Ramczyk, OT, Wisconsin
    The Bears selected a quarterback in Round 1. Now, they’ll have to protect him. Chicago’s interior offensive line is great, but help is desperately needed at tackle.

  5. Los Angeles Rams: Curtis Samuel, WR, Ohio State
    The Rams keep waiting for Brian Quick to do something, but it’s not happening. They need to find another weapon for Jared Goff.

  6. New York Jets: Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
    Here he is. As mentioned in Round 1, teams have really soured on Deshaun Watson. No team we’ve spoken to has him as a first-round prospect. One high-ranking personnel man in the NFC told me he has Watson as a third-round prospect. It’s so much like the Teddy Bridgewater draft, when the media had Bridgewater in the first round, and yet NFL franchises considered him to be a second-day prospect, even before his woeful pro day.

    I have to believe the Jets would be thrilled to land Watson here, however. They have nothing at quarterback, and that includes last year’s second-round choice, Christian Hackenberg, who is a sunk cost.



  7. New Orleans Saints: Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State
    I still can’t believe the Saints signed James Laurinaitis. Did they not watch how horrible he was for the Rams? Seriously, what were they thinking?

  8. Philadelphia Eagles: Desmond King, CB, Iowa
    Here’s the cornerback pick the Eagles eschewed in the first round. They’re really hurting at the position, and if you don’t believe me, just check out what Andy Dalton did to Philadelphia’s secondary in Week 13.

  9. San Diego Chargers: Justin Evans, S, Texas A&M
    The Chargers could stand to use an early draft pick to find a replacement for Eric Weddle, and ther are a couple of intriguing safety prospects in the second round.

  10. Carolina Panthers: Solomon Thomas, DE, Stanford
    The Panthers often take the best player on their board, so don’t yell at me for not giving them an offensive tackle yet. There are still some promising pass-rushers on the board, and Carolina needs one with Charles Johnson set to hit free agency.

  11. Cincinnati Bengals: Carroll Phillips, DE/OLB, Illinois
    I have to imagine that the Bengals will want to bolster their edge rush, which is very weak aside from Carlos Dunlap.

  12. Arizona Cardinals: Courtland Sutton, WR, SMU
    Larry Fitzgerald has mulled over retirement, but even if he keeps playing, it’ll be difficult to retain Michael Floyd, who will be entering free agency come March.

  13. Buffalo Bills: Tre’Davious White, CB, LSU
    Stephon Gilmore’s contract is set to expire in March. Gilmore had been an outstanding cornerback in recent years, but he has been absolutely horrible in 2016. The Bills now have a difficult decision to make regarding Gilmore, and I imagine that they’ll franchise tag him. Either way, Buffalo will certainly consider a cornerback if it can obtain a quality prospect at the position.

  14. Indianapolis Colts: Takkarist McKinley, DE/OLB, UCLA
    The Colts desperately need to upgrade their linebacking corps. That includes finding a potent edge rusher, which is something they currently lack right now. Erik Walden sucks; Trent Cole is old; while Robert Mathis is even older.




  15. Baltimore Ravens: Christian McCaffrey, RB/WR, Stanford
    Kenneth Dixon had a great showing Monday night against the Patriots, but it’s unclear if the Ravens think he can handle a full workload. Baltimore may want to select a running back to complement Dixon.

  16. Minnesota Vikings: D’Onta Foreman, RB, Texas
    The Vikings desperately need an offensive tackle, but they have to find a new running back as well, given that Adrian Peterson won’t be playing much longer.

  17. Green Bay Packers: Gareon Conley, CB, Ohio State
    Sam Shields has long-term health concerns, so the Packers may want to think about spending an early draft choice on a cornerback just in case he can never play again. The secondary has been an utter mess this year.

  18. Cleveland Browns: Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech
    Hue Jackson hinted to Cris Collinsworth that there’s a quarterback the team likes in the 2017 NFL Draft class. I don’t know why he would be smoke-screening this early, though it’s impossible to guess which signal-caller that is. Part of me thinks it might be Mitch Trubisky in the first round, but if not, perhaps it’s Pat Mahomes.

    Yes, Pat Mahomes, the Texas Tech quarterback. There are a wide variety of opinions on Mahomes. Charlie Campbell reported that some teams have second-round grades on Mahomes. Besides, we’ve seen the Browns reach on a quarterback before in Cody Kessler, and Mahomes has the accuracy that Hue Jackson values.

  19. Washington Redskins: Nazair Jones, DE/DT, North Carolina
    Here’s another upgrade to the middle of Washington’s defense. The Redskins’ only force on the defensive line is Chris Baker, so another defensive end is desperately needed.

  20. Miami Dolphins: Evan Engram, TE, Ole Miss
    It’s safe to say that the Dolphins haven’t exactly gotten what they had expected out of Jordan Cameron, though not all of that is his fault, given his concussion issues. Here’s a much-needed upgrade at tight end.



  21. Houston Texans: Forrest Lamp, OT, Western Kentucky
    It’s unfortunate that Derek Newton’s career could be over because of a double patellar tendon tear. The Texans will have to find a new right tackle, and I’m sure they’d love to get Forrest Lamp.

  22. Denver Broncos: O.J. Howard, TE, Alabama
    A.J. Derby is just an OK player. The Broncos can do better than him at tight end, and O.J. Howard is one of the better prospects available.

  23. Atlanta Falcons: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
    The Falcons could stand to upgrade Chris Chester, the one liability that they currently possess on their offensive line. Dan Feeney won’t be able to teach his teammates much until he’s a veteran, but he could provide an upgrade on the interior of the front.



  24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Budda Baker, S, Washington
    Tampa Bay has the worst safeties in the NFL, as evidenced by Derek Carr setting a franchise record in passing yards. An early selection needs to be used on this position.

  25. Pittsburgh Steelers: Alvin Kamara, RB, Tennessee
    DeAngelo Williams won’t be around much longer, so the Steelers will need a viable backup running back just in case Le’Veon Bell gets suspended again.

  26. Seattle Seahawks: Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
    I thought there was a good chance that the Seahawks would upgrade their edge rush last offseason, but they didn’t pull the trigger. They can make amends for that at this juncture, and there’s never anything wrong with adding extra talented pass-rushers.

  27. New York Giants: Royce Freeman, RB, Oregon
    I’m not sure how much faith the Giants have in Paul Perkins, but I’m sure they would’ve named him the starter over Rashad Jennings by now if they liked him a lot. Jennings isn’t getting it done, so New York needs to find a new running back.

  28. Oakland Raiders: Anthony Walker, ILB, Northwestern
    The Raiders have gotten better play out of their linebackers because of Perry Riley, but they still need another upgrade in the unit.

  29. Detroit Lions: Julie’n Davenport, OT, Bucknell
    The Lions seem to have hit with Taylor Decker, but they need to find another tackle, as the struggling Riley Reiff is entering free agency.

  30. Kansas City Chiefs: Jourdan Lewis, CB, Michigan
    Sean Smith’s departure has been felt this year, particularly in the loss to the Buccaneers when Kansas City had no one to cover Mike Evans in Marcus Peters’ absence.

  31. New England Patriots: Pat Elflein, C/G, Ohio State
    The Patriots could use some help on the offensive line, namely at tackle and center. Pat Elflein can play all three positions on the interior, and Bill Belichick loves blockers with versatility.

  32. Dallas Cowboys: Jake Butt, TE, Michigan
    Jason Witten doesn’t have much time remaining in the NFL, so the Cowboys could stand to use an early selection on a tight end.
