  1. Cleveland Browns: Damien Harris, RB, Alabama
    The Browns could easily spend the first-overall pick on Saquon Barkley. If they don’t, they’ll need someone else to upgrade the disappointing Isaiah Crowell.

  2. New England Patriots: Kolton Miller, OT, UCLA
    Nate Solder is an impending free agent. It’ll be interesting to see what the Patriots do with him. He’s obviously very talented, but he’s had severe injury problems over the past several seasons, so New England may decide that it can’t count on him.

    Kolton Miller had a rough start to his 2017 campaign, but ever since moving from right tackle to the blind side, he’s been terrific. He could sneak into the opening round.

  3. New York Giants: Bryce Love, RB, Stanford
    Shane Vereen is an impending free agent, so the Giants will need a new running back. Orleans Darkwa, Wayne Gallman, Paul Perkins… all of these players are pedestrian. New York needs an upgrade here, and it would get that with Bryce Love, who has shown some dynamic play-making ability and toughness as Christian McCaffrey’s replacement.



  4. Indianapolis Colts: Nick Chubb, RB, Georgia
    The Colts could use a successor for Frank Gore. Marlon Mack has some potential, but I’m not sure the Colts think he’s the answer; otherwise, he would’ve taken over for Gore already.

  5. Chicago Bears: Iman Marshall, CB, USC
    The Bears have a pair of talented young safeties in Adrian Amos and Eddie Jackson. They could use some youth at cornerback, as Prince Amukamara doesn’t seem like he’s in the long-term plans. He’s an impending free agent anyway.

  6. Denver Broncos: Connor Williams, OT, Texas
    The Broncos have to find a new quarterback, but I imagine they’ll go the veteran route, acquiring Kirk Cousins or Eli Manning. If so, they’ll need a new tackle to protect them.

    Connor Williams has taken a dive in recent mock draft updates as a result of Charlie’s report in the NFL Hot Press that teams have a mid-round grade on the Texas tackle.



  7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Derrius Guice, RB, LSU
    The Buccaneers are taking a chance on Doug Martin reverting back to 2015 form. We’ll see if that happens, but so far, it hasn’t appeared as though that’s been the case. If this continues, Tampa Bay will be looking for a running back early in the 2018 NFL Draft.

  8. Cleveland Browns: DeShon Elliott, S, Texas
    The Browns have been extremely weak against the pass this season because of some horrible safety play. They’re stuck with Jabrill Peppers for a couple more years, but they also need a new starter next to him.

  9. Arizona Cardinals: Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
    Baker Mayfield has been discussed as a third- or fourth-round prospect among teams, so given that he’s a quarterback, he could be pushed up to the second frame. Mayfield comes with some character concerns, but Arizona has taken chances on troubled players before.



  10. New York Jets: Clayton Thorson, QB, Northwestern
    The Jets missed out on the top quarterbacks in this class, so they’ll have to find a signal-caller in Round 2.

    Many may not know the name yet, but according to Charlie Campbell, Clayton Thorson been getting some first-round consideration. Read more in the NFL Hot Press.

  11. Washington Redskins: Ronald Jones, RB, USC
    There are going to be numerous running backs selected in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. The Redskins need to consider taking one. Neither Robert Kelley nor Samaje Perine happens to be the long-term answer at the position.

  12. Miami Dolphins: Hayden Hurst, TE, South Carolina
    The Dolphins could add another offensive weapon. Addressing tight end makes sense, as I don’t have much hope for Julius Thomas.



  13. Cincinnati Bengals: Jamarco Jones, OT, Ohio State
    No one should be surprised if the Bengals double up on offensive linemen in the first couple of rounds in the 2018 NFL Draft, based on how the blocking unit has performed.

  14. Dallas Cowboys: Antonio Callaway, WR, Florida
    The Cowboys could use another threat in the receiving corps, and they’ve shown that they’re willing to take chances on troubled players. Antonio Callway has some major off-the-field issues, but some team could give him a shot in the second round.

  15. Oakland Raiders: Kerryon Johnson, RB, Auburn
    The Marshawn Lynch signing has mostly been a failure, so the Raiders need to move on from him and find a new starting running back.

  16. Detroit Lions: Maurice Hurst, DE/DT, Michigan
    The Lions need to continue to bolster their pass rush, and they could use an interior presence to go along with A’Shawn Robinson.

  17. Buffalo Bills: Mark Andrews, TE, Oklahoma
    The Bills need to give their new quarterback – whoever that may be – another weapon to work with. Another tight end to go along with Charles Clay could definitely be an option.

  18. Green Bay Packers: J.C. Jackson, CB, Maryland
    The Packers almost have to keep picking cornerbacks until they get a talented one, right? It’s amazing how bad their pass defense is.

  19. Los Angeles Chargers: Justin Reid, S, Stanford
    Everyone thought the Chargers would select Malik Hooker No. 7 overall. They went with Mike Williams instead, so here’s their chance to obtain an upgrade at safety. They’ll need one if Tre Boston, who has played well this year, departs via free agency this spring.

  20. Atlanta Falcons: Zach Allen, DE/DT, Boston College
    The Falcons have three defensive linemen set to hit free agency next spring, so this is an area they could attack in the 2018 NFL Draft.

  21. Kansas City Chiefs: Sam Beal, CB, Western Michigan
    The Chiefs were so desperate for cornerback help that they signed Darrelle Revis, who was atrocious against his former team. Kansas City has to target a cornerback early.

  22. Baltimore Ravens: Anthony Averett, CB, Alabama
    Unless Brandon Carr takes a big pay cut, I can’t see him being back next year. The Ravens could pursue another cornerback early in the draft if Carr leaves.

  23. Carolina Panthers: Parris Campbell, WR, Ohio State
    The Panthers will need another receiver to go along with Devin Funchess and Curtis Samuel in the wake of the Kelvin Benjamin trade.

  24. New York Jets: Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame
    Robby Anderson has been excellent this season, but the Jets need another receiver to go along with him. Jermaine Kearse should be a No. 3.

  25. Tennessee Titans: Harold Landry, DE/OLB, Boston College
    Brian Orakpo appears to be slowing down, while Kevin Dodd hasn’t shown that he can be an NFL-caliber player yet. There’s a good chance the Titans spend an early draft choice on an edge rusher to start across from Derrick Morgan.

  26. Jacksonville Jaguars: Troy Fumagalli, TE, Wisconsin
    The Jaguars could use a new tight end, as they don’t have anything at the position in the wake of the Julius Thomas trade.

  27. San Francisco 49ers: Christian Kirk, WR, Texas A&M
    The 49ers will have Pierre Garcon back next year, but they need a second receiver to pair with him to give Jimmy Garoppolo more weapons to work with.

  28. Buffalo Bills: Isaiah Wynn, G, Georgia
    The Bills need to improve the right side of the offensive line. Perhaps Dion Dawkins will be able to properly replace Jordan Mills sometime soon. Right guard John Miller must also be upgraded.

  29. Pittsburgh Steelers: Akrum Wadley, RB, Iowa
    The Steelers could stand to obtain a viable backup behind Le’Veon Bell.

  30. Cleveland Browns: Darius Leonard, LB, South Carolina State
    Jamie Collins hasn’t lived up to expectations thus far, and he’s getting paid more than $10 million in each of the next couple of seasons. The Browns could decide to go healthier and cheaper.

  31. Minnesota Vikings: Trenton Thompson, DT, Georgia
    There have been reports indicating that Sharrif Floyd may never play again, which is a shame. The Vikings will need to find a new defensive tackle to play next to Linval Joseph.

  32. New England Patriots: Duke Ejiofor, DE, Wake Forest
    The Patriots will be getting Derek Rivers back from injury next year, but they may decide that he’s not enough to bolster their pass rush. Getting a third potent edge rusher to go along with Rivers and Trey Flowers would make sense.
