NFL Rumors

I’ve been posting NFL Free Agent Rumors and NFL Draft Rumors daily on each page. These are listed per team, so click on each link if you’re interested in seeing all of the rumors from your favorite team.

However, I received a suggestion to post all of the latest rumors in a daily format for those interested in multiple teams. That’s what I’ve done on this new NFL Rumors page. Follow @walterfootball for NFL Rumors Updates.



NFL Rumors – May 1 Updates:

“Source from the Titans says Dorial Green-Beckham could be their pick at 33.” – Charlie Campbell

“Bills general manager Doug Whaley has expressed a desire to trade back and acquire more picks.” – Mike Rodak, ESPN

“Steelers have one CB targeted for 2nd round and might have to trade up to get him. If they don’t, they might wait till 3rd rd to draft one.” – Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

“Cardinals will listen if a team calls with interest in trading for WR Michael Floyd. No one has.” – Kent Somers, AZCentral.com

The Panthers have removed La’el Collins from their board. – Joseph Person, Charlotte Observer

“Bucs have been focused on pick 34. Randy Gregory on their board. OT Jake Fisher at need position.” – Ed Werder

Titans GM Ruston Webster considers Dorial Green-Beckham and Randy Gregory to be first-round talents.

The odds are “300:1” that the Falcons pick Randy Gregory if available, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter, Atlanta Journal-Constitution

From Thursday: “Sources told us that two teams that could be looking to land Yeldon early in the second round are the Jaguars and the Jets.” – Charlie Campbell

“Talked to Ariz St folks that say Titans and Browns were high on Jaelen Strong in draft process, so watch out for those teams early in second round.” – Jeremy Fowler, ESPN

Tom Coughlin hinted that the defensive line will be a priority.

NFL Rumors – April 30 Updates:

“The Eagles and Bears are the two teams still in play to move up to No. 2.” – Sal Paolantonio, ESPN

“There is a belief that Giants GM Jerry Reese would rather have a pass-rusher than an OL at 9, but value might not match up right there.” – Albert Breer

NFL Rumors – April 25 Updates:

The Giants may trade up if one of Dante Fowler or Leonard Williams slips past the top four. – Dan Graziano, ESPN

“Likelihood now is Marcus Mariota goes 2nd overall. My feeling is Tennessee likes him more than most think. Very well could be a Titan.” – Albert Breer

It’s “hard to figure” in terms of whom the Giants like between Ereck Flowers and Brandon Scherff, but Flowers is the guess. – Jordan Raanan, NJ.com

The odds of the Chargers drafting Marcus Mariota have gone from +1500 to +250 in the past 24 hours.

NFL Rumors – April 24 Updates:

One rumor, making its rounds in NFL personnel meetings, has the Eagles dealing Bradford to the Browns for the 19th overall pick. The Eagles would then send picks Nos. 19 and 20, along with Cox and Kendricks to the Tennessee Titans for the No. 2 pick Philly would use to select Mariota.” – Mark Eckel, NJ.com

“The way both Thomas Dimitroff and Dan Quinn’s faces lit up when talking about Todd Gurley today and what they said vision for a RB was. Wow!” – Knox Bardeen, FOX Sports

NFL Rumors – April 23 Updates:

“Earlier I didn’t give it much consideration. I didn’t think the Titans really would either. Now I won’t be surprised if the Titans pick Marcus Mariota.” – Jim Wyatt, the Tennessean
